Fortunately for us walker is a terrible actor, which also explains why he got caught cheating several times. Typical Pep theatrics though

Dalot and Onana are bad and dumb.

The forward line not offering enough and the midfield is playing too much within themselves.

45 minutes plus and not one effort on the city goal. That is a vey sad statistic.

Desperately unlucky to be behind in this game. Very fortuitous goal from them, the deflection went straight to his head and over ours. Since then we’ve lost our composure and City are on their way to getting a 2nd. We need to keep our heads and get hold of the game again.

Also commiserations to Mount. Must be really hard for him but it’s been obvious for a while that he’s crocked.

At least Ole got results against Man City. *hides*

I don't think this is a bad point. When we were playing under Ole it wasn't Total Football but you knew what we were up to: Direct, incisive football. Players didn't just stop on the edge of the penalty area and dick about for a bit before losing the ball. There were more than a few potshots but at least the intent was there. We attack like we are in a pillow fight.

HT but so frustrating as they have been poor too. We just concede goals from corners for fun. Can’t seem to create any good goalscoring chances of our own due to the continuous poor decision making in the final 3rd once again.

Unsurprisingly annoying so far. Before the goal we were similar to our performance at Arsenal before conceding. Looking relatively comfortable. Maybe not a typical calamitous corner goal that we conceded, but pretty alarming that we've conceded 8 goals so far from them.

Thought the ref should have given us a free kick at the edge of their area for De Bruyne's foul on Kobbie.

Kobbie has been pretty off it out of possession, late to cutting passing lanes and missing quite a few opportunities when he could have intercepted the pass and we'd be breaking.

But this City side is frail and I hope Amorim has the team fired up for the second half.

Much like the Arsenal match we made it difficult and just recycled the ball with no threat going forward.

City will play better in the 2nd half and will probably get another goal. Not sure we have it in us to get one. If we do it could at least keep it interesting but looks like a 2-0 to me

Very annoying goal to concede from a set piece yet again. We were doing alright and have had more of the ball than you'd expect against City, it's been very similar to the Arsenal game, but we're just not ruthless enough in the final third.

Playing without courage or control, but this is far cry from being demolished, lucky deflected cross they scored from, aside from that nothing, meanwhile we just didn't threaten them that much.

So disappointing. A nothing city team, that we've treated like peak city cheat team.

8 goals conceded from corners already in league this season. Almost half the goals we concede. Should be ashamed of themselves
I just hope it's not us that gets their season back on track.

Such a poor quality half of football. Worst City in the Pep era by a long way, so little energy or conviction about them but Utd are still finding a way to let them lead.

Attack has to be better, Hojlund has lost nearly every ball and Diallo is constantly offside. It really won't take a lot to create chances against this lot if they put any quality together.

Ugarte doing well, Mainoo showing some good and bad flashes since he came on, but overall Utd are getting nothing from the wing backs in attack

my reaction when they scored was it's game over

only because I can't see us scoring at all, we're just poor at that against the top sides

Very poor in attack. Our hopes are entirely in Amad and Hojlund making the right runs. Amad has been caught offside too often and Hojlund is often too far back defending.

Without real pace on the counter, we need to keep possession better in their half. Garnacho would’ve been useful today unfortunately.

We’re still in this, but it’s going to be difficult to score without spending a lot of time pushed up, and they can hurt us on the counter.

We’re letting them play themselves into a bit of form. I thought we started well but the goal has totally changed momentum.

I just hope it's not us that gets their season back on track.

That would be very typical of this team in recent years. The dream opponent for anybody under pressure. We should have been at their throats from the off with intensity and we let them in like lowering a baby into a bath. Easy does it

We carry next to no threat. Counters or bust
Well we could add to our attack, if Walker was sent off as he absolutely should have, and if City were left playing 10 men for the rest of the game. But nobody knows wtf is VAR for, anymore

We aren't in the game but we aren't out of it either. Really strange half of football. Not much happened between two struggling teams afraid to assert themselves.

I hope we are braver the second half. The bench looks terrible, so this XI will have to do it

I'd get Case in Dalot, move Maz at LWB, Amad to RWB and move Bruno at #10.

It is not his faul that Amorim wants to use a formation, we do not have the right players for.

No, we do not have players for any formation, these players were shit with 4 at the back as well.

We just have had little training time, and a lot of matches in quick succession.

I understand the strategy of sitting back, and to be fair, we’ve been defensively solid, limiting City to very few chances. However, apart from a couple of counterattacks, we’ve offered absolutely no threat in the attacking third.
