    Why drop Amad?

I feel Hojlund and Amad are better brought on when the City players are more tired.

    Amrabat, Rashford and McTominay starting....

Casemiro not even on the bench...

    Amad and Hojlund as subs...

    Pretty shocking decisions here.

The only shocking decision would be if Amad and Hojlund won't be brought on in the second half.

Feeling strangely comfortable now, keep the scoreline zero and we can sneak a goal in the second half.

Everyone has been saying how shit Casemiro has been.

EtH drops him…omg how can he start player x over Casemiro!!!

    Gotta love the moaners

People love to have a go against tenHag.

You been talking about needing to drop Casemiro for months. When he does, people are screaming about how can you drop him. TenHag can never win against hatered.

So you agree with McTominay over Hojlund and Rashford over Amad?

Only on this forum could people complain Casemiro is done for most of the season, to then complain he doesn't start in a cup final.

A front three of Amad, Hojlund and Garnacho picked itself on form in my mind but what do I know, I’m not the one who is Manchester United manager for the next 3 days.

If it was for Antony then I'd be furious but seems he's just packing the midfield. Tactically it's the best thing we can do.

Then we have Garnacho and Rashford as split strikers.

I get the theory, but Rashford has been shocking. Amad has been brilliant. I go with brilliant over shocking every single time.

No Casemiro can't blame him for that. No Hojlund. But the invisible McT starts in midfield.

Not sure how some of you can't see that he's packing the midfield with 4 CM's. This is to stop us getting battered like we do in every single game and Garnacho / Rashford's pace to hurt them. This makes more sense than starting Amad or Antony...

Still going for brainless counters with Rashford even though Walker completely negates him.

 true, though imagine it's cos it's Amrabat starting instead

Depends on system we set up. Amad is still to young to play this kind of game from start. So that is no surprise. I would play Hojlund but that wouldn't be instead of McTominay. We need some physical players against Rodri and Kovacic.

Best we can do against City. I wouldn't be starting Rashford personally, but I can also see the thinking. If he does win, he will point to injuries even more this season and may even have a point.

City players do not tire, they are machines.

There is a time to drop him, and a time to play him. You play him in the cup final.

Hour till kick off and we’re on 8 pages

    Sign of the times, mate.

    (In more ways than one.)

Anyway, just walked past a group of extremely obnoxious feckers wearing City gear (one of them was an actual full-kit-wanker, ffs). Felt a bit of good old hatred rising within. Ready for the match now.

Let's beat the cheating fecks (don't care how, the shabbier the better).

How is it possible to see how we executed this game plan against Brighton and think: 'Yes. Let's do that against another possession team that's levels above Brighton both with and without the ball.' Anyone..?

In fairness to ETH, he may believe that Hojlund can only give 30 minutes of all out effort. Better to gamble on doing that against a tired citeh defence and try and keep things all square for as long as we can. Maybe it is a conditioning issue and he is having stamina issues after a long season.

That said, dropping Amad is harsh.

Casemiro played out of position has been poor. Played in MF he’s still an upgrade on either Amrabat or Mctominay because he can actually pass the ball to a team mate more than 50% of the time.

I would say there is about a 5% chance that Rashford plays a good match. Good call ETH. I hope you are fired right after the match.
