Looking forward to this one, we are the underdogs and expect a loss but lets give it a good go and hopefully get a nice surprise.
The team picks itself its just a question of will he go Mctominay or Casimiro. I think he will stick with McT to start.

Liverpool are shite and Arsenal are Arsenal.

We're under a manger who has spent zero compared to Hag having spent 200 million odd. Totally unfair to compare.
I mean that's technically true but come on

Hoping Rashford is fit, which I didn't think I'd be saying earlier in the season. Think we might see this to start though if Rashford/Martial aren't close enough to 100% (and can't see Ronaldo starting either):

    de Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    Casemiro
    McTominay Eriksen
    Bruno
    Antony Sancho

Sacrificing width against City is a massive mistake. In recent years, whenever we've had any kind of success it's due to being good on the counter even with players like Dan James. If you want to be more solid, do it at the expense of Eriksen or Bruno but it would be a massive mistake to castrate our system and play with no wingers, especially against City who make the pitch so wide.

Is there any chance EtH starts both Casemiro and McTominay?

Here me out. We know all about City’s attack. We all know neither Ronaldo, Martial or Rashford are match sharp. Go with Bruno as false 9. This:

    Bruno
    Sancho Eriksen Antony
    Casemiro McTominay
    Malacia Martinez Varane Dalot
    De Gea

If we struggle to score and need to score, bring on the half fit attackers, come what may.

I also think starting Mctominay with Casemiro is the way to go.
Mctominay playing effectively as an assistant CB, falling back towards Martinez when City box us in and start crossing it to Haaland.

But Mctominay dropping back to protect Martinez would open spaces in midfield for the likes of Silva, Foden and De Bruyne, and I'd rather have Casemiro rather than Eriksen for that job in deep midfield.

Playing Bruno as a false 9 solves this whilst keeping Eriksen in the team, so improving our odds of doing something with the ball when we have it

I dont get all of this "i'll be happy with a narrow defeat". City have played 5 of the bottom 7 this season (and you'd expect them to win those well) and the only decent side they've played (Newcastle) they drew with. We've inflicted Arsenal and Liverpools only league defeats this season.
I am a lot more positive going into a derby than I have been for a while.

Do we think Casemiro gets a start today? I would hope so, but not expecting it.

If you ask me who do I fear most - Peak Van Persie (at Arsenal) vs Current Haaland, I'd answer RvP any day.
You can't defend peak RvP. Halaand is like a taller Chicarito on drugs. That's all.

Can’t wait to see McTominay rinse Kevin DeBruyne today…

Been a bit of a transfer failure if he’s not starting a game like this, this far into the season - fitness shouldn’t be an issue by now.
Very early days but it's not ideal given the concerns some of us had over the deal.

    Leaked Lineups:
United team news ahead of the Manchester Derby

I've not been given all 11 names but I was told that Ronaldo is not starting again

Full strength apart from that (Some would argue that its full strength without CR7)

    Rashford has been passed fit.

I don't know if full strength includes Casemiro.

    "Insider" information.

Doubt we'll change a winning lineup if true.

Ah forgot to do lineup prediction again. From top to midtable.

I think martial starting up front could be the difference in how we play as a team. But rashford has been lethal upfront so far this season. Don’t think rashford and martial both start though… expecting one of them upfront with sancho and Antony out wide.

Interesting take. Van Persie only scored 20+ league goals twice in his career, Haaland has also done it twice but at age 20 and 21 as opposed to 27 and 28. Haaland is also on course to get over 20 this season. They're different types of players but I'd rather defend RvP than Haaland.

    Full strength would currently be

    De Gea

    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    McTominay
    Eriksen Fernandes
    Antony Rashford Sancho

Casemiro and Martial will get their chance against Omonia I think.
