Anyone thinks City won't win needs to wake-up.
City are light years ahead of this team and only a really strange set of circumstances will see United get a point

Whilst what you say is true... we've said the same thing for the last 5/6 visits there and yet we've won more derbies than they have at the bitter bowl.

Just never know in football. They are very weak against the Counter attack.

As strange as a god awful spurs team who got the memo to sit in, soak it up and take your chances 3v3 on the break? Pretty standard formula to have a fighting chance if you’ve got *some* quality on the break.

No Ronaldo, Cavani, Varane and Shaw in squad.

Perhaps Ralf wants to give City a win.

as if we have a chance anyway.

    Mahrez/Sterling/Silva/Grealish/Foden/Jesus

regardless of the 3 that will start upfront, i do not see our defense up for it.

as for their midfield 3, rodri, gundugan and KDB. They’ll just dominate the game.

    We've done better with worse.

If I were Guardiola I'd be doing some squad rotation here and resting some of the first teasers. Their second string side should despatch out first XI without getting out of first gear.

Rashford up top offers the same energy and workrate as Ronaldo. It's a lose lose situation.

Can't tell if the players not at hotel isn't just a bit of mind games on the eve of game

The second statement doesn't necessarily mean the first.
City has been consistently way better than us in last several seasons. But the results have hardly showed that.

Solskjær use to play a 3 at the back against city and was quite successful, however I think matching them with 4-3-3 could work… use matic with Fernandes and pogba in front. We need to prove guardiola wrong and take the game to them, a few week ago he said there’s only a few teams that try to attack them, I think he said Liverpool, Leeds, Brighton and villa. This was obviously a dig at us. Him and klopp always say that we just counter against them but that doesn’t matter because we’ve won that way.

What I'm saying is the probability is United lose so I have no aspirations of anything other than that today.

Come on, we have seen some progress recently as we are creating more chances.

It's our finishing that's letting us down.

Absolutely. Our defence and even our midfield have looked pretty solid as well.

Makes you wonder whether people actually watch any of the games.

I’ve never been less excited for a Manchester derby, we’ve been playing okay and City haven’t been great, but still see them methodically pass us to death and win 2-0.

Imagine if Elanga had started playing in August. He is easily the most exciting United player right now, the kind of player who should be central to the manager's rebuilding plans.

The last time we played them, we lost 2-0.
This wasn't a big scoreline, but what the scoreline doesn't say is that after winning the first half 2-0, they basically shut up shop in the 2nd half. They basically denied us possession and turned the 2nd half into a ball possession training exercise.
If they wanted to, they probably could've scored 4+ goals.

Every single match day thread I read, has these kinds of comments, where deluded fans believe that we have a chance against the top teams.

Against relegation candidates (Watford), many deluded fans thought we'd put 3, 4 and even 5 goals past Watford. This, despite us taking a 4-1 battering in the reverse fixture.
    The final result was 0-0.

In saying all of that, I understand that some of you want to be "positive" and that's okay. I prefer to be realistic.
All right mate, we'll get thumped 6:0, hope that's ok.

It's our finishing that's letting us down.

That's basically it. We've seen a big improvement in chance creation since Rangnick arrived, but we're just not converting them. We've drawn or lost 5 of our last 9 games, yet would have won them all comfortably if were competent in front of goal.

It must be infuriating for a manager, especially one trying to mark his mark on the PL.

I’d play Bruno as false 9 before Rashford through the middle. If the players missing is accurate the. I’d play the below.

    De Gea

    AWB
    Lindelof
    Maguire
    Telles

    Matic
    Pogba
    Fred

    Rashford
    Bruno
    Sancho

McTominay and Elanga could get in there but I don’t think Rashford has been as bad in recent weeks as it’s been made out and Elanga has done well off the bench but been pretty underwhelming when starting games.

Depending on who is actually available I’d go with:

    ———————DDG
    Dalot—Varane—Lindelof—Telles
    —————McT——Fred
    ———————Pogba
    ——Elanga——Bruno——Sancho

Is Ronaldo injured or just dropped?

I get resting players but you'd think Ronaldo coming off the bench at the end of the game would be an option worth having.

He just hasn’t turned up at the Lowry neither has Varane, it happens quite regularly, don’t be surprised if he’s in the starting lineup..
