Could be a close game. I would be surprised if they absolutely destroy us. On the other hand, you never know if Maguire and Shaw will be playing.

Not sure what the front three would be. Sancho and Elanga are given, but neither Rashford nor Ronaldo seem like good options at this point.

3-0 at half time, then we come roaring back to 3-3. In stoppage time, Bruno wins and converts a penalty. We take the points.

The lineup I want to see start and the one that RR will predictably pick are starting to be separated by a wide chasm. I don't see a role for Fred or Maguire in this team against City. We need Pogba for creativity and McTominay to carry everyone's water. Bruno, Sancho, Elanga as the front line, Ronaldo on the bench. I think Ronaldo needs to be more of an impact sub at this point, give him 20 or 25 minutes to change the game but let our side play to our strengths. If Lindelof & Varane are our CBs then I'd trust Shaw at fullback, but if Maguire is in I'd play Telles instead. Dalot over AWB.

A lot of fans predicting that we'll draw or win this.
I am certain that some fans have not seen us play AND they are unaware of our recent results.
We are terrible and make terrible teams look decent.

MCFC will be the first top class team we'll have faced in a long time and it will require a minor miracle to get a draw. My expectation is a good old fashioned spanking.

Saw highlights of the Watford game and I actually thought we played brilliantly in bits minus the horrendous finishing. This team will surprise us sooner or later….in a good way. For a change I’m being optimistic.

They just need to be so prepared to work hard, cut off passing channels, be physical and press, Matic will only last 60 too with Fred's energy coming in and being vital, I'm stupidly optimistic

Have to wait for presser for confirmation but I'd imagine he would be now as it would have been a few weeks but happy to start Fred and bring Scott on for Matic if he hasn't recovered enough to start
