We might as well look for positives. If any United fans, with or without Pogba, were expecting to look at today's respective team sheets and brim with confidence they were deluding themselves. It's going to be very tough but anything can happen today, City beat us a few times when they were shite and we're not as bad as they were. Looking for logical reasons why we win is a fool's errand but why not try to be optimistic?

It's basically down to Martial and Rashford to counter them.

I always have faith, but Matic, Fellaini and Herrera will struggle to compete against City's midfield. We just don't have enough industry (besides Herrera) and there is a distinct lack of both pace and movement.

Truth is, we have to hope the occasion gets to their players somewhat and they make rash decisions and perform poorly in general, whilst our players perform beyond their ability.

That doesn't look like a very balanced midfield to be honest.

I hope Herrera has a good game as a B2B but reckon Fella and he will rotate going forward - Ander can take it out of our half and Fella can give us an outlet in the other half. Maybe an interesting option with Lingard dropping in too from the right and Young providing width.

We need experienced heads against City, that trio is anything but. You can see why Jose opted for the three we have today, even though it has little chance of paying off against City.
