Given the fact, that Falcao may be on the bench for this one as a result of his recent injury my prediction for starting lineup would be:

    -----------DDG
    Rafa- Smalling- Rojo - Shaw
    -----------Blind
    ------Fellana---ADM
    --------- Herrera/Januzaj
    ------Rooney-RVP

Personally I would go with that kind of diamond for derby as it looks very sensible and balanced for me. Mata is completely out of this one for me,because of his lack of speed and defensive contributions with both Adnan or Herrera you will get that.
If herrera isn't fit I would have Mata before Adnan.

I can't see anything other than a City win, if i'm honest. Our record away from home isn't good, and City's at home is excellent. The odds are stacked against us, and for a good reason.

But we do have a team brimming with attacking talent. Players capable of heroics. We're not West Brom or Hull. So a win isn't totally of the question.

Games like this are why being a football fan is so brilliant though.

Yeah i can't see anything other than a defeat, but hopefully the encouraging signs continue to show.

The Chelsea game has given me a little hope, but realistically we're going to be up against it.

I've gone for 1-2 on the prediction, but that's me being optimistic.

Certainly don't think we can stop them from scoring, so just have to hope we can get a few of our own.

    -------------DDG

    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw

    ------------Blind
    Herrera - Fellaini - ADM

    -----------Rooney
    ------------RvP

Think if go to balls out we'll get hammered so need to be a little more conserative with the line-up. Don't see why it has to be Fellaini or Herrera. I'd play both and shore up the midfield a bit more.

Think it would make more sense to go for a 4-3-3 again similar to against Chelsea but bring Di Maria back to a more CM position.

If Falcao is fit then I would start him over RVP as we have Rooney back to captain the side.

Would choose Januzaj as he can push wide with Di Maria and have Fellaini and Blind stay more central to make it more of a 4-2-3-1 when appropriate.

    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Fellaini Blind Di Maria
    Januzaj Rooney
    Falcao/RVP
Subs: Lindegaard, Blackett, Jones/McNair, Herrera, Mata, Carrick, Falcao/RVP

    ----------------De Gea-------------------
    --Rafael----Smalling----Rojo---Shaw---
    ----------------Blind----------------------
    -----Herrera------------Di Maria---------
    ----------------Fellaini--------------------
    -----------RVP---------Rooney-----------

Will be a United supporter for the day. You will need a performance like we put up against them last season, as although some players seem weaker in their side one who does not is Aguero. Would love to see you smash them but feel this will end 2-0.

    Falcao is injured isn't he?

Not sure what his injury is, but hopefully he will be back... at least as a sub.

For the love of god, do not bet on us.

    I'd play

    De Gea
    Rafael Rojo Smalling Shaw
    Blind Fellaini
    Herrera
    Januzaj Di Maria
    Rooney/Falcao

    ---------------------------DDG--------------------------------
    Rafael--------Smalling------------Rojo-------------Shaw----
    ---------------------------Blind--------------------------------
    --------------Fellaini---------------Di Maria---------------
    ---------------------------Mata-------------------------------
    ------------------Rooney------------RvP-----------------------------

    Herrera surely won't be fit?

If Silva is out for the derby on Sunday then Thank you BasedGod Taylor!

Silva is a Brilliant player though, and he scares the feck out of me, so hope recovers fairy quickly, but not in time for the Derby of course!

After watching City against West Ham and now against Newcastle, I'm confident we'll get a result.

    3-1 United (ADM, Rooney, Fellaini)

Oh and Mangala will get a red.

We'll nick this 1-2 and City will have a new manager before Christmas..ah just like old times

    ------------------------De Gea------------------------
    -------Rafael---Smalling*---Rojo----Shaw--------
    --Januzaj----Herrera/Fellaini---Blind----Di Maria
    ----------------------Rooney/Mata--------------------
    -----------------------van Persie----------------------

    * Depending on which one of Smalling, Jones and Evans is fit.

Going to be keeping an eye out all week on any news of David Silva's injury. He makes them tick, if he's out, we've got a decent chance to steal the points.

Hope Mangala starts also, he looks such a raw footballer. So rash and there's mistakes in him.

What happens if by some miracle we win Sunday and got a decent result against Arsenal, would we be title contenders ?
Why would it be a miracle? City just got a beating at home by Newcastle.

So they've conceded 2 against Moscow, WHU and now Newcastle. Now I know they didn't have Zaba or Flappy Gums Kompany tonight, but they did play against Moscow and WHU.

If silva is too miss out on Sunday, we have a good chance and we have to take advantage. Their defence is also shaky.

Still going to remain cautious. Feel like they'll be a completely different side against us and will give us a much tougher game.

Could be our best chance to beat them, though, especially if Silva is out. But I don't see them losing three games in a row. I hope I'm wrong about that.

Silva will play this weekend. As we've seen the last few seasons with Kompany and Aguero, no badly how injured they are before the Derby they'll always seemingly be ready in time to play it. Even if it does mean they usually pick up another injury a week later.

In these kind of games the form book goes out the window. Make no mistake, even if silva is out, they will be bang up for it. I would take a point and run with it.

Not really that confident as City have our number. They just know how to grind us down and beat us.

Bring it on! C'mon United go for it! Make us all in United family happy on sunday!
