I think we've stumbled across our best formation by having Rooney out, and also Falcao for a bit.

And that's one striker, with Rooney off him, allowing Di Maria to concentrate more on getting into attacking areas with the ball at pace, instead of the scuffling in centre mid. Januzaj benefits too.

However, Mata is very obviously the odd man out, and it's unclear how Falcao will fit in, and in fairness how fit he actually is.
