Why are you all complaining? Weird. We played a fully changed side apart from Keane in our game last week. With little to no pre season and a tight schedule it makes sense to have senior players in the side who weren’t involved in your first game - they need the minutes and a good performance might help them in the shop window. No point in playing youngsters at the moment due to the lack of pre-season.

I believe that this time the moaning is mostly about not playing the first XI after all the 'lacking match sharpness' excuses on Saturday. Though a few seem to object to playing Maguire so who knows...

I'm OK with the team, it's a proper League Cup XI.

Ole says himself players need fitness in games and training then doesn’t pick the players that need it most for Brighton.

we are either undercooked or tired. I’m really starting to questioning his decision making. Why did he allow players to go place’s that required quarantine and not be available for the return of pre season. I know that it’s not the easiest preseason but we seem to be making the worse of it.
