FFS, they've just presented Rooney with the MOTM award.

feck, i hoped they would start with Benteke :(

LvG has to be the only person on the planet, who doesn't see how horrible Fellaini is!
The reason why LvG plays him so often can be very simple: Fellaini might be the only player who doesn't even come close to the famous 'red zone'.

    Nice interview with DDG.

That Andy Carroll challenge still annoys me. How he wasn't sent off for that...

Can anybody answer me seriously why Fellaini is playing again. I am bewildered. It guarantees defeat

How the feck does fellaini keep starting for us? Hes such a terrible player

Because LVG Is a stubborn, inept old manager who is clearly out of ideas and our club Is run by morons. I hope we win today but if we do it'll be despite him, not because of him.

Genuinely think I'd rather see Rooney alongside Schneiderlin than Fellaini at this point.

Safest way to play against Klopps intense pressing for the first 25 minutes is to bypass the midfield and hit it long to Fellani in the 10 position I think. This whole Klopp pressing system 'triggers' when the opposition try to pass through midfield.

The two line ups have a severe lack of pace. Is this going to be the slowest game of football of the season? For us, Young and Martial are quick. For them, Moreno seems to have a burst of pace. Firmino looks mobile, but I can't remember him seeing rinse anyone.

From the order of the lineup, and the United twitter is usually pretty spot on with the order of the players equating to their position (GK, back four, midfield two, 3 AMs, striker) it looks like Fellaini in CM and not off the striker, which is going to be hilariously tragic. I hope the United tweet is wrong.

United fans either skip votes like this or are pessimistic.

LvG is such a weirdo. He persists with Memphis when he plays shite, then when he actually makes an impression as a sub two games in a row he keeps him benched, in favour of rubbish players like Lingard and Fellaini.

Lingard's level of performances has been better than Memphis', IMO. Still there's a place for both of them though, we all know who shouldn't be a starter for us. Well, except van Gaal and Walrus.

Memphis or mata and playing Herrera in midfield? Its far, far better then fellaini in midfield. Hes awful there.

Mata has been in even worse form than Fallaini for the past 2 months. His play has been pathetic.

Memphis is a wide player. Herrera can only play no 10 ... His central midfield okay so far has been erratic and can't be trusted do put in a box to box performance.

I'm not saying Fellaini is a great choice but neither option you propose gives me any more confidence.

I am adamant that the plan is to have him high up the pitch to utilise his height and strength and beat the press via long balls from Herrera.
Ye, if Fellaini decides to turn up today that would be a good plan. Hopefully someone has given him a bollocking for his recent "jog around the park" attitude.

The fact Herrera hasn't started more than 4 PL games in a row is a joke, injuries or not.

Lingard scored in the last match, there isn't anything wrong with starting Lingard and using Memphis as an impact sub where he has been more effective as opposed to starting him when he might tire after 60 minutes.

He started the season by playing Memphis and gave him a chance even when he was poor instead of having a knee jerk reaction but when he wasn't good enough he was benched, since then he has been mostly an impact sub but as a starter he hasn't done well.

    Schmikes tearing into herrera

"he likes to turn and pass the ball backwards"

Does Schmeichel even watch Herrera? Since when does he prefer to turn backwards and pass it back or sideways, he loves to move the ball forward.
