Nah. It’s about initiative as well. We’ve been extremely vulnerable in defence while having zero attacking threat with five at the back. Literally no upside to keeping it up.I’ve been quite critical up to this point but you can understand him going defensive in this one!
If you send it to me, the same result happens…only you’re not lining the pockets of the bookiesWe have nothing to lose, which I think is factual, and I predict liverpool will go for the jugular from the word go and may get caught by our counter, which is wishful/hopeful/desperate thinking by myself.
I'm going to put 25 quid on us at 6/1 anyway. Stranger things have happened. This United 'team' never fail to amaze me.
Of course the players are anxious etc. That's plain to see. No way can he or anyone else fix it quickly. It's a big big problem.Amorim has said himself our players are anxious, they panic, they lack confidence, there’s no leadership. Unless he’s inspired them somehow in ways we’ve not seen before, we know exactly how this goes.
He's only 18, we can't be rushing his development.I am surprised as you.
He phoned in 'sick' after taking an early morning flight on the day of training after being on the razzle in Belfast. And was disciplined. That's previous.Possibly. Hope he didn't catch something at a nightclub.
I mean sure, we've had our problems up top but Dwight is 53. I don't think that's the answer.when is York actually going to start a game , thought he would today
I’m assuming we have psychologists working at the club? Maybe we need different ones.Of course the players are anxious etc. That's plain to see. No way can he or anyone else fix it quickly. It's a big big problem.
They really need to find some kind of mechanism to deal with this. It happens to all the players whether new or not. As much as anything, the press, pundits, constant negativity will make you feel scared shitless.
Not the best environment to throw an 18-year old who has been in the league for less than a couple of months into.
Those psychologists will need psychologists of their ownI’m assuming we have psychologists working at the club? Maybe we need different ones.
Like Dalot can defend any better. Or attack for that matter I’d rather someone that gives us a chance of scoring goals. We ain’t defending regardlessOh come on, yeah let's try Garnacho at LWB vs Salah playing at his peak away at Anfield. Give your head a wobble.
I am sure if anything, you'll see a positive performance from our captain today. You do more often than notIn an attempt to be somewhat positive - our lineup is stronger than the team Rangnick fielded at Anfield 3 years ago, or the lineup Ten Hag fielded 1 year ago. If we can keep it tight in the first 30 minutes then I have faith we'll grow into the game.
I still fancy him over our other optionsI mean sure, we've had our problems up top but Dwight is 53. I don't think that's the answer.
Boy you’re really misremembering that game. Malacia was the worst player on the pitch and got subbed at half time. He was also our worst player vs Bodo/Glimt, I think his only other start under Amorim
Glad to see Maz back at WB but do worry about the legs of a defence with both De Ligt and Maguire in it
I don't think Dwight has the legs to play at this level anymore.when is York actually going to start a game , thought he would today
Imagine that. Finding positives about a player in the team you support. Absurd.I am sure if anything, you'll see a positive performance from our captain today. You do more often than not
Wish he’d at least switch Maz and Dalot around. Both are not great at wingback but Dalot would end up not having to cut back to avoid using his left foot. And Dalot is better than Mazraoui at finding space out wide, so we might get a decent cross or two from him if he’s playing on the right.
Feels like we’re sacrificing both sides the way it is now.
If we have them - they are clearly crap.I’m assuming we have psychologists working at the club? Maybe we need different ones.
Would've preferred Mazraoui in the back three with Amad dropping to wing back but we really don't have many options at the moment. Putting Amad at wing back means starting Garnacho or Zirkzee.
was thinking the same thingI mean sure, we've had our problems up top but Dwight is 53. I don't think that's the answer.
Because we don't have anyone elseWhy he still persisting on playing both Maz and Dalot?
I disagree , if your good enough for the first team and all thatNot the best environment to throw an 18-year old who has been in the league for less than a couple of months into.
I understand everyone’s frustration with it but don’t mind him doing it away to LiverpoolWhy he still persisting on playing both Maz and Dalot?
Dwight? He's a little old nowwhen is York actually going to start a game , thought he would today
Yeah that's another way of doing it but after watching Eriksen on Monday I wouldn't fancy him going up against that Liverpool midfield.Could we not put Eriksen alongside Bruno if we moved Amad back?
Glad to see Maz back at WB but do worry about the legs of a defence with both De Ligt and Maguire in it
Yes we do. We played Amad at rwb for Amorim's opening games and we were significantly betterBecause we don't have anyone else
Predictive typing FFSI mean sure, we've had our problems up top but Dwight is 53. I don't think that's the answer.
We're wheely wheely fecked aren't we?A train ( well oiled train) v a tricycle today.
