What I hate about these games is that if it goes well, there is a nice warm glow afterwards. If it doesn't we then have two weeks of international break to stew until the next game.

Liverpool have won five of their last six games at home, drawing the other, and beat both City and Tottenham in that run. They're unbeaten at home since November 8th.

Meanwhile, we've only won four of our fourteen away games this season, although two of those wins did come at Arsenal and Southampton.

If I was looking at this from a strictly neutral, statistical viewpoint, i'd be making Liverpool favourites, and indeed, they are favourites with the bookies.

Frankly, i'll take a draw here, because we don't really need anything more.

2-1 to Liverpool. I'm going by the last few years at Anfield and how we have failed to produce even decent play in the matches. We won there two years ago but we weren't good that day either, and they could probably field their under 15's and yet do better than us on the day.
