In a game with so little chances, where it is possible we'll only get one chance, I would far rather it fall to Ibrahimovic.
I think I'd trust Rashford to score a chance more than I would Zlatan. Unless it's a header.

No yellow card for surrounding the ref? But birdshitmouth gets one? feck off ref!

Think Jose must be mostly delighted with how things panned out, Herrera and Fellaini give their creative CAMs absolutely no time for stuff, we've been awarded with two absolutely bullshit yellow cards imo, it's a dull game overall I guess but that should be pleasing Jose.

I'm happy with the first half. Spot on tactics so far with very good concentration all over the pitch and excellent defensive organisation with the exception of the Firmino header.

Think they've been surprised by our deep pressing into their half of the pitch at times and the midfield has been very good so far, though I thought they had far too many runs through the middle after the 30th minute.

I'm reading this thread because the streams have been shit, internet has been slow tonight. All I'm reading instead is the referee is shit, all team is shit, Pogba shit, Ibra shit, Rash shit, shit this shit that.

We've been fine. Going to Anfield and shutting them down like this is a great achievement, this is what Jose had set us out to do and we've done it well. I imagine this is going exactly to plan so far.

I wish we had Martial. I think we would be doing better attacking wise if he was in the team.

Carragher mastery of the flat screen will soon earn him the title of the next english pep

People calling this game a snoozefest etc.

What the feck is wrong with you? The tension is unbelievable. I couldn't give a feck about the quality. 0-0 at half time is a good result so far. We still have the potential to win this

Call me a masochist but I'm backing you on this. I loved the derby at OT last season, people looked at me like I'd grown tusks when I told them so.

I hate when they do that kind of stuff. Start off sensibly and then lose the run of themselves before splashing out card after card. "A card for you. A card for you. Everybody gets a card".
    Really does my head in.

Agreed. Making a rod for his own back, will now be asked why he isn't carding for everything second half.

Snoozefest, which is not bad considering its Anfield. Controlled the first 30 mins and then they came into it after that. If we nick a goal, we will win it.

I really don't care if we're boring. I just want something out of this match - that's the most important thing for us. Flair and such can come later. Right now we need points.

Great stuff from Fellaini and Herrera. This game is crying for a moment of quality from Zlatan or Pogba to win it.

It's worrying to me how reliant we are on Lallana and Wijnaldum because Can isn't up to it and Coutinho's been wasted in a deeper role.

You think you dislike City the most, then we play the hubcaps and you realize the truth.

What a truly dislikeable bunch of twats.

Strange that Young plays to the left and Rashford to the right. I mean Young is a better crosser and Rashford is a better finisher. Should be the other way around.

I'm actually very surprised we didn't get hammered in the first 20 to 30 mins and I did think we would be 0-2 to 0-3 down by half-time. The longer this game remains goalless, the better it is for us. I can see us getting a result if the score still remains the same by the 70th minute.

No yellow card for surrounding the ref? But birdshitmouth gets one? feck off ref!

I hate Can's stance btw. Most players do it, put their hands behind their backs and pretend they're peacefully complaining but in reality they're the ones protesting the most.

Shame Martial isn't playing in this one. Think he would have done some damage against this Liverpool team. You just know that Rooney's going to come on and score the winner.

Thought our game plan has been spot on the first half. Hopefully we can nick a goal here at around 75th minute and close the game out.

Happy with the result and the way we are frustrating Liverpool, but at the same time, Pogba playing almost as a second striker is giving me a headache. He should be playing deeper in the pitch.

I hope Mata in for Fellaini or Pogba in the second half.

I thought he did well to hide his semi when the crowd cheered him for booking Bailly.
He just wanted more adulation and booked Birdshitmouth just for the applause at HT. Good match team!

Expect Liverpool to come out all guns blazing in this 2nd half. Taylor is bound to send someone off. Almost certainly Herrera, Valencia or Bailly.

We look very solid and pragmatic, but I still think there's a lot of work to do to get a point, and I'm still leaning towards a Liverpool win.

Nonetheless, unlike many of you, I like how Pogba is looking out there. May have had a couple of poor moments, but tactically he has been immense. Cutting off passing lanes, closing people down, and defending from the front. All very important today.

The midfield three are working in unison, which is essential to our chances.
