    Is there anything Zlatan does well for us other than foul or stray offside?
     
    We played great the first 30mins but the last 15 were a bit nervy.. We got options on the bench to win this, if needed.. 0-2 FT

    We've picked up a couple of silly bookings but other than that have been solid. Pogba anonymous yet again. Rather the standouts have been Fellaini and Herrera.

    Hope we can nick a goal in the second half. Not sure whether Ibra is the man to provide it though. The high Liverpool line really doesn't do him any favours. Martial would've been huge for us. :(

    I think the next best thing would be to bring Lingard on at the 65 minute mark for Ibra and push Rashford into the centre. I think for the first time today he's experiencing nerves - not sure out wide is the best place for him.

    Everytime the referee has actually given us a free kick he wants it to be seen. So stops the game. However when he does it stops us playing on as we have the ball. Learn advantage rule. He is poor. Even though he has given every single 50 50 to Liverpool I thought he was doing well ignoring the constant pressure for a yellow. Shame he ruined near the end.
     
    Rasford's been poor on the right and Zlatan's been ineffective through the middle.

    I would bring on Lingard for Ibrahimovic and move Rashford to CF. We need better link up play from the wings and more pace up front.

    There was a reaction. He told the players to stop complaining and Young didn´t. Anyway Herrera should have been booked for multiple fouls, but in the end Bailly ate the statement card.
     
    Game going according to plan for Mourinho - stifling us. If ever a game looked like a 0-0 its this one.

    Eh that's what we have been doing after the first 15 mins or so. We are defending with 9.

    Not that I have a problem with it as long as we get at least a point there considering how much work we need to build atm.
     
    Honestly our attackers really need to up it. But we're not bad at all so far. Fellaini doing well! Herrera the star so far, but must be careful with this bloody ref.

    Even Young seems to have grown into the game. But we desperately need more up top. Hope Mou gives Pogba an ear bashing!
     
    Mourinho has this set up perfectly to nick a 0-1 on the counter. Ibra almost mugged them off once already marginally offside. Very happy so far.
     
    He's the ultimate pragmatist, so let's not pretend he was ever going to go there and play expansive football. tbh I'm happy with this so far, I thought we may get a good tonking.
     
    That's half the job done, and much more what you'd expect from a Mourinho team. We've strangled them well, but we need to up it another level, and go for the kill.

    Our biggest problem with the way we're playing is Zlatan. He's just too immobile without the ball, can't find any space, and is too slow to be any sort of threat on the counter. Will need to provide individual brilliance to make up for it.

    All in all though, very well played half from us.
     
    On the positive side, if this game finishes as it is, I get 27 extra fantasy points! I'm conflicted :wenger:
     
    Bookings we were given were clearly playing to the crowd. Ref's trying his hardest not to appear biased to either team.
     
    Herrera has been quality. He was doing quite well during the first 15 or so minutes but then gradually waned along with Pogba. Strangely, it is Rashford who looks a little off the pace with a few wayward passes. He did provide a good cross though. I feel we can win this if we can provide quick service to Ibra, Pogba and/or Rashford.
     
    I'm reading this thread because the streams have been shit, internet has been slow tonight. All I'm reading instead is the referee is shit, all team is shit, Pogba shit, Ibra shit, Rash shit, shit this shit that.
     
    Ibra and pogba have been below average. They were supposed to turn our fortunes this season but have been pretty underwhelming so far.

    Defensively we are doing a great job. The only sniff your guys have had was the header that went straight at De Gea.

    Attacking wise we are struggling though. Not creating anything and made a few sloppy mistakes.
     
    Happy to hear it's a dull boring game. I feared we would get blown away.
     
    Im gonna be smug for calling Fellaini selection as key.

    On this performance Mata in for Pogba would be fair

    Nothing wrong with Young's yellow. But if you're going to go by the letter of the law it should be applied to both teams.

    Same with Bailly's yellow. It was soft, but you get those kinds of decisions, particularly after he's spoken to Smalling and Henderson about cutting out the niggly fouls. But again, the problem is that he's picking and choosing when to apply the letter of the law, and so far we're at the receiving end of these calls.
