The only thing Mata has left is his technique... it wasnt an easy ball but Mata should be able to control that.

Agreed. The PE teacher approach just doesn’t work when the team aren’t up for it. We need somebody down there giving them a reminder that it’s not good enough. He’s got a bit too casual for my liking.

This is the reason Ole plays Fred and McTominay. Very rarely get caught out with those two.

Awful half. Started well but went to pot one we conceded that goal, following some comical defending (as a team).

Martial's goal late in the half gives us some hope. We need to get something out of this game!

OK, someone explain this: Rashford has the ball, is unmolested about 6 yards off the goal line but rather than pull the ball back towards the line, along with the entire defensive line, thus opening up the box for the entire squad, he passes it back to VdB in a crowd and immediately finds himself offsides as the line pushes up to the ball. How? How do not make more space to work in when presented that situation?

Without Fred and McTominay, we're very easy to slice open through the middle.

Playing those two doesn't have to be a defensive option if we could pick more attacking wingbacks. Shaw's done okay today to be fair.

De Gea saves the 2nd goal. It was right at Henderson, he seemed to move out of the way of it. But he wasn't as much at fault as the defence, who were all over the place.
