Eriksen starting doesn't surprise me much - he's probably been out best player this season. I did think he might be one of the tens though, rather than being in the 'old is gold' double pivot. Fitness may well have been a factor - it usually is.Called Mazraoui starting at rcb. Don't think he suits what Amorim wants in a wing back and I suspect Dalot starting regularly over him will annoy people. The only surprise to me is Eriksen starting. Mainoo must not be ready and Ugarte probably didn't have enough time to train. Martinez and Yoro not ready. I suspect they will come into the starting lineup in the next couple games.
I expect it will be Garnacho at lwb with Amad as the 2nd am. Definitely looking forward to seeing how the sytem works in play.
It would be just hilarious if it is a 4-2-3-1.
Thousands upon thousands of videos, articles, posts, and tweets about which players will fit where in a 3-4-3, only for it to be a 4-2-3-1.
Is there a chance that it’s Garnacho LWB, Dalot RWB and Amad 10?
Would make more sense with Maz wingback and Amad one of the no.10s tooSky seem to think it’s Cas in the back 3, Bruno and Eriksen in midfield. But who knows really.

I think this is more correct than Maz in back 3 and Amad on right wing back.Sky had Casemiro in the back 3 with Dalot and Mazaroui as wingbacks and Bruno in the middle with Eriksen
When the lineups came on in the Southampton v Liverpool game that is.
I hope not. That midfield is asking to be overpowered.Sky had Casemiro in the back 3 with Dalot and Mazaroui as wingbacks and Bruno in the middle with Eriksen

Can't see Eriksen Bruno as CMWould make more sense with Maz wingback and Amad one of the no.10s too
In the same way Garnacho isn't suited to playing wingback. I'd say Amad has more workrate than Garnacho. Probably why I'm thinking it's nothing more than a simple 4-2-3-1 looking at the players in the line up. It makes most sense.I'd be really surprised if Diallo plays as anything other than a 10 in this system. He's perfectly suited to being an inverted forward.
3421 maybe?I predicted 3-4-3 on the MUFC app. They are telling me I got formation wrong ?
Not sure what Sky showed but I think that may make the most sense here.Sky showed the line up as Casemiro at centre back with Eriksen and Bruno in midfield.
Did Ruben himself tell you that?He will play as a forward. Amad is the wingback.
Not sure where you’re getting any of that, Amorim has never deployed a 532, he plays a 343. It’ll be Rashford through the middle and Bruno/Amad as the two 10s.Unpredictable line up. Bruno employed as false nine?? I've been advocating that for eons. Not sure how this is a 5-3-2. All to be revealed soon enough
No way that happens. No pace in that back 3Not sure what Sky showed but I think that may make the most sense here.
Onana
De Ligt
Casemiro
Evans
Mazraoui
Bruno
Erisksen
Dalot
Amad
Rashford
Garnacho
Common sense.Did Ruben himself tell you that?
The authority with which you claim this based on some nobody tweeting it is hilariousGuys it's a 3-4-3 and Garnacho isn't playing wingback
It's Amad.
We'll see once the match starts but I don't believe that. I think they got the player names and guessed the positions they'd be playing inGarnacho is playing as one of the two forwards with Bruno being the creator. Amad is playing WB
I hope not, Dalot or Mazraoui would be a better fit.Sky Sports just had it as Casemiro CB along the bottom in the Liverpool game.
I suspect that if Martinez was fit to start it would have been. As it is, Evans at LCB can't do as many fullback things, so the LWB has to be a more defensive player. Is there a chance that it’s Garnacho LWB, Dalot RWB and Amad 10?
Horrific? What are you talking aboutThat's a horrific looking XI. Poor Ruben, he must be thinking he's left behind a much stronger squad at Sporting.
Expect that line up to be...
Onana
Dalot De Ligt Evans
Mazraoui Casemiro Eriksen Garnacho
Amad Bruno
Rashford
exactly how i see it
