People seem to blame VAR as if it it were a person.

True. For the avoidance of doubt I'm blaming the twat who introduced VAR, the twats that support it and the twat's that want to pretend "It'll magically get better for reasons I've no interest in producing" - not the technology itself, which of course as no feelings at all.

Matic looks like a shadow of the player he was a before the new year. He was consistently one of our best players.

    Legs are gone.

That was just terrible, arguably our worst 45 minutes of the season. Our midfields non existent, our back 4 are all over the place(understandable, too many changes),and we have hardly created anything in the first half. The only silver lining is that we are somehow a goal up,have to do much better next half....

If Sky and BT Sport can use their tech, to analyse games, why the hell can't VAR do the same??

Jesus fecking christ, the NFL are able to make correct decisions all the time. Those lines aren’t even perpendicular to the field. Laughable!

Football is all about big decisions and getting luck and bad luck not waiting whilst 3 old blokes in London struggle with angles and knee caps!
Exactly. It just takes far too long, this makes a mockery of the sport, I'm not even annoyed about the goal even though I think it should've stood. Even Graham Poll thinks it's a joke.

Ok half, but strange that the goal was ruled out. Feels like VAR might be even more corrupt than what we normally see.

Someone superimpose a penis shaped line on to the pitch using paint like they do with heatmaps.

It'd be about as much help as the lines VAR used for this decision.

    [
I think he was offside by millimetres, it was the knee.

This doesn't exactly give me much hope for the technology, though...

aren't line supposed to be in line with white penalty line?

Expect Mourinho to complain about the lines and then get banned for 48 games.

You don't seem to have a problem with saying it so why complain?
Well my point is why not say we are playing well if you think we are. They shouldn't go after others post for stating their opinion about the game.

In the end, although it's marginal, it was indeed a correct decision.

VAR has been implemented so badly that it needs to be revoked immediately.

So far it’s conclusive that VAR has not helped - it’s merely added to the stresses of refereeing.

The principle is fine, but the system we have is simply shit.

    ...I think it's on purpose.

Scoring a goal is much more difficult than anything else in football. If the error is by millimeters difference, then the advantage should be given to the goal scorer.

The wobbly lines, christ almighty :lol:

    the straight line here:

This VAR nonsense takes away any focus on the quality of the play from Manchester United. Let's move on.

Let's play better. Please? Even just a little??

I don't know what to say anymore. This is a Huddersfield Town team, resting key players.

Watching us is like walking in treacle.

Neil Swarbrick probably just trying to save face now by saying the decision was made based on straight lines rather than the hand drawn MS Paint shit...

I thought VAR was only supposed to be used for clear and obvious mistakes. There's no way you can say Mata was definitely offside. Absolute joke.

The massive sky monitor thing is better than whatever system they use for VAR. just ask sky to lend them it. Does it quicker as well.

So the actual straight lines which were apparently used weren't even parallel with the 18 yard box. ok VAR.

No, teams spotted that he was running our game and he was the one to target, not Pogba. Huddersfield are focussing their pressing on him, just like Spurs did. He's not doing too badly today given that he's being given nanoseconds to make decisions every time he receives the ball.

The way to take the pressure off him? Play Pogba, ffs. However good you think McTominay is or isn't, he's not an option to the extent that you can play him to teach Paul a lesson. At least play Herrera. Matic might as well be on his own out there with an old man and a kid next to him.
