In my opinion at this stage 3 points are more important than PSG match. But what to do... will tolerate mata again.

    C'mon united.

Why do we keep resting Rashford?

He's 21 and in good form. He isn't going to get tired and the more he doesn't play the more his form is likely to drop off.

    Idiotic
He’s had a dead leg all week

We have looked a bit tired at the end of games and people are complaining that we have rested Lingard and Rashford? Do people think these lads are robots?

That's quite an attacking team Fulham are putting out. 4 all out attacking players and a 2 man midfield.

We really should be dominating them, but they have a lot of threat up top

Not sure if people losing their minds over a few rotations simply don't understand football, haven't seen our fixture list or are just moaners.
    Bizarre.

We've brought in lukaku and mata. 100m of talent against the second bottom team. People are talking as if we've brought in two randoms off the cafe against man city

Ole said he had a dead leg, so not so idiotic after all.

Don't mind resting players, just think Mata is past it and wish we had better alternative options. Line up has made me nervous

Ole said Rashford had a dead leg after Leicester so he's not risking him. Lindelof had a very slight problem but he should be okay for PSG.

What? Every fan has the right to question the managers selection. Did I say get him out? Nothing I said is an overreaction. Did he rotate against Burnley? Did we drop points? Yes. Did he rotate too much at Cardiff? Yes. We should treat all managers the same. OGS or Jose. Eitherway they are the ones in the hot seat.
All you said is overreaction. Especially the part about him not learning anything from Cardiff.

Exactly. Yes these two are the fittest but they have the highest workloads.
Keeping them fresh for Tuesday is smart. They'll need big games then.

If Lukaku is sh*te and lazy again today then I wouldn’t play him again this season.

Don’t have a problem with the team Except for Rom starting up top. Put Sanchez up top he won’t be as bad that’s a given.

Rotation isn't the problem if we had the quality in depth, but those 2 forwards we brought in are the same two that proved completely unreliable vs Burnley and this game is more important to our season than the PSG game.

It's not Ole's fault the back up isn't up to scratch, but surely we can see he has to make these rotations? No one plays the same team every game, not even teams in only one competition. That's why the team needs reinforcements so we can rotate without fans having a meltdown. A manager has to take these risks now and again. No hiding place I'm afraid...

He did pick up a knock, Ole confirmed it after the Leicester game. He’s not injured but he needs a rest if possible. It’s also a further indication that he’s already nailed down that centre forward role and will start up top on Tuesday. It’s really important that we rotate the team and utilise the full squad.
Ah okay it did seem like it. Yeah I agree, we have a big squad and should take advantage of it at times like this.

But why, what one has to do with another, when this bullshit started in here. People come with any criticism and here they are certain folks going in defensive mode. I dont like seeing Mata and Lukaku on the pitch in the same time, dont give a shit who is the manager, JM, LvG, Ole, SAF, i would still say that regardless, it doesnt makes me right or wrong.

Well it's basically just that. I don't like when both of them are starting together since I don't think they offer much, especially this season. But you also get sick of the negativity before a game so it's better to not think about it too much if that makes any sense.

Mata on the wing never made any sense to me. As bad as he was at times, I kind of wish Jose didn’t sell Mhiki, at least he would have been a better option than Mata out wide until we found someone better.

Jones and Smalling is ludicrous when you think about this in the broader sense.
These 2 players have survived since the SAF era and these 2 aren't even that good.
I can imagine if Messi played for us and he survived 4-5 different managers, but how have these 2 achieved this?
Smalling is fine. He's rightfully ended up as first choice under every manager. Whether he should be first choice going forward is debatable, but he should certainly at least stay here as a squad player (unless he asked to leave to be first choice elsewhere).

Jones on the other hand. He's been better than most in here are making out, but he should still have been moved on a couple of seasons ago as he's not dependable whatsoever (either his fitness or his performances when he is fit).

So would you not start lukaku or mata for the rest of the season?

    pogba -- mata --- herrera

Don't mind a bit of rotation ahead of PSG as some players are looking a bit knackered in games. Still having to play the Matic-Pogba-Herrera midfield so it's obvious we need more strength in depth there but hopefully we can get the game wrapped up and take a couple of them off.

If it starts to become a struggle we've still got Rashford and Lingard if needed.

So why is he on the bench?

This game is arguably more important than PSG, unless we think we're winning the Champions League
    If needed I’m guessing.
If you have PSG on a Tuesday and you’re playing a team 3 days before hand in the bottom 2 , you’re going to rotate.

What the feck is that team

    Lukaku
    Mata
    Smalling
    Jones

Suorised if we win this with that front and chuckle brothers in defence.

He trusts that trio and doesn’t trust Fred, Pereira and McTominay

So would you not start lukaku or mata for the rest of the season?

I'd have started them against PSG or in the FA Cup, but not in these vital league games, truth is though I don't think either are good enough and chances are that when we start them we are still going to have to bring the rested players off the bench to salvage games anyway.

Did he say that just now?
