    Pogba - Schneiderlin - Herrera

Thought he'd have played Lingard and Mkhitaryan, hopefully they get game time at the weekend. Surprised Memphis hasn't started but I'm sure he'll come on at some point.

Wow I didn't know Brad Jones played for Feyenoord. I just remember him having a pretty crap game for Liverpool against us under LVG so hopefully we'll have more of the same tonight!

Really hope this is a 4-3-3 with Pogba and Herrera ahead of Schneiderlin. That is our best midfield set up if you swap Schneiderlin for Fellaini or Carrick.

That's pretty close to what a lot of the fans have been asking for, hopefully they play some good football and get a few goals.

If Pogba and Schneiderlin end up playing pivot with Herrera in #10 in a 4-2-3-1, will the caf have a mini meltdown?

So seems like everyone is happy with the lineup. So will be a draw or a loss. I mean that's how that usually works right?

Wasn't it that lad whose daughter died or something?

10/11. Thought Ibra would start over Schneiderlin. A bit surprised we brought Zlatan if we weren't going to start him but I'm definitely happy to see Rashford starting up front. Zlatan can always come on later and Rashford can switch to the wing. Optimistic of a good win here. Hope Pogba bosses this game.

Assuming that's a 4-3-3 right? Will be great to test that midfield in this system.

It only took a defeat for Mourinho to forget all about the ‘coming September I'll give minutes to every player’ thing.

Should've been more cynical in my prediction. Got De Gea instead of Romero, Bailly instead of Blind, and Pogba in, though.

I wonder what's the reasoning behind Pogba playing. Things are not looking bright for the likes of Memphis and Carrick.

What side would you have liked him to pick? One which featured players who haven't started a single game so far?

2nd half subs: TFM, Carrick, Memphis?

I think you can be sure of Memphis. Only way I don't see TFM coming on is if we're losing or only winning by one goal. Subs could be Zlatan and/or Fellaini if we need them. If we're comfortable, it'll be either Carrick or Young. Assuming we're going to do well here, I'd say TFM, Memphis, and Young is most likely.

No center-back in the bench at all? Well, I suppose both Fosu-Mensah and Carrick can play there, if needed.

Probably because he hasn't had a pre-season so he's giving him as much playing time as possible. I imagine he'll be taken off around the 60th minute to rest up for the weekend.

I'm boing to stop playing this prediction game. I'm shite at it.

    .

Smalling, Schneiderlin, Darmian and Rojo are in the lineup. None of them have played more than 5 minutes since the season has started. Schneiderlin came on for 5 minutes against Bournemouth exactly one month ago and Smalling came on for about 2 minutes twice and the last time Rojo was seen was the Community Shield.

Rashford also gets the start instead of Ibra who has started and played 90 in every game so far.

So that's 5 out of 10 (50%) outfield player changes

That makes a lot of sense. Apparantely, this is our first time playing in the Europa group stage.

Probably to get him more used to the tactics, because so far he's not really adapted to the defensive shape of the team. Some extra fitness wouldn't hurt either. Carrick was always likely to only be here for one more season so no big deal, he'll still always be regarded as a legend regardless of what happens this season. Memphis' prospects are less bright for sure. That being said, I would expect him to come off the bench tonight. Hopefully, he can impress against a relatively poor defence if he does come on.

After losing against City at home, suddenly Mourinho starts talking about winning the Europa League and plays a strong first 11, despite an away game in a few days for the Premier League.

Rashford has got the first start of the season and Rojo is playing his first match of the season. Quite likely we will be seeing TFM, Carrick and Depay gett some time in the 2nd half. Which is basically what Mourinho said would happen, minutes for more players. Considering we lost our last game, its quite important we bounce back and get a nice away win. Team is as strong as it should be.

Are you actually disappointed to see a strong team play because it fecked up your line up prediction on a football forum where the prize for winning the competition is feck all?
