We would also be doing that for every small, minor challenge. It is entirely in our interest for decisions to go out way, no matter how big or small.

That's why we have referees and why we rely on them to get the decisions right. They even have video technology to help them make these decisions. And they still get them wrong.

The red I can at least see why it was given. The penalty is just baffling. It’s even worse than the eriksen one against Munich. Both players really close to the player that kicks it into their arm, yet Romero was too close to Garnacho despite being 12 yards away. Make it make sense!

VAR has brought about a huge decline in refereeing, which was always going to happen as they can rely on technology to bail them out but at the same time they’re shit scared to give a decision only for VAR to prove them wrong. It’s massively reduced my enjoyment in the game. It has a place but not in its current guise.

Bias is the reason we don't let victims be the judge or jury. Fans calling for cards doesn't mean the refs should be giving them.
