Galatasaray are not a better team than FC Copenhagen.

Maybe not, but better teams than us have crumbled under that atmosphere in their stadium and given the history/bad blood in the fixture and the length of time since those battles I think their fans will be right up for it.

Would love a straightforward win here. Weve won once all season where we looked comfortable and it was a pointless cup tie.

    Onana
    AWB
    Varane
    Maguire
    Reguilon

    Amrabat
    McTominay
    Bruno

    Antony
    Hojlund
    Rashford

I fancy Hojlund back on home soil. I think an early goal would settle us

antony can't possibly start after his last showing - garnacho isntead for me

Glad Hoddle is doing today's game (Newcastle). means we won't have to listen to his utter drivel tomorrow

Another win here to gain confidence and momentum then beat Luton and everything will already look better.

I think he and wan bissaka showed some promise together last season, Id be inclined to give them a run. Garnacho is better on the left and rashford has been appalling too

This game could go either way at the moment. Copenhagen actually see themselves in the front seat after the first game. They are a better team than Galatasaray right now and very much in play for second spot. The margins has not been on their side in the three first games. A really stupid red card ruined three sure points for the danes in Istanbul, where they led 2-0 with ten minutes to go. They were close to drawing against Bayern at home, and was clearly the better team in the first game at Old Trafford. A draw would not be a bad result. City got a 0-0 in Copenhagen last year.

This is the key game for Copenhagen. They expect a win against Galatasaray at home. A win tomorrow is the key to go second in the group for them. Bayern will secure first spot with a win against Gala and probably not go all in in the last two games. This is going to be very interesting.

The atmosphere in Copenhagen can be loud too - not like Galatasaray, no one beats Turkey in that matter - but still very loud and usually every 90 minutes. Some of the players in Copenhagen have actually said that they see themself as favorits. It's a ridiculous statement, of course, but it says something about their confidence

Still can't believe how we lost the gala game. Christ on fecking bike

Id be inclined to start with Mount instead of Anthony - we’ve got to try something different in that position as Anthony has been very poor recently and offers nothing.

Maybe the current joint top goal scorer in the competition Rasmus Højlund?

?? Top goal scorer in the Champions league 2023/4? Rasmus Hojlund? Really? even going into last night's games, Haaland, jesus, Morata and a few other's had scored the same amount of goals.

I like Rasmus, a lot, but he has scored 3 in 13 for us this season, hardly prolific, which highlights the issue I'm raising about our inability to score goals.

I keep hoping the next game, may be the game it all comes together...(somehow...)

They won this same fixture 1-0 in 2006.

As you said, other's had the same amount, still that doesn't change that no one has scored more goals than Hojlund after three matches. Calling him the top scorer is factually correct. And btw, Haaland had just two, not three.

Simply need to win. Anything less than 3 points, then difficult to see us playing European football after Christmas.

Will we keep at the 4231? With our midfielders we'd be better served playing a diamond with split forwards.

That’s why I said JOINT top goal scorer. Anyway, I wasn’t being all that serious. The problem so far is he’s literally feeding off of scraps, he’s getting nowhere near enough service so I’m not too concerned about him. It would be different if we were putting chances on a plate for him and he was failing to finish them. Our lack of goals is a major issue though and the output from the rest of our attackers is an absolute disgrace.

Think Ten Hag will be conservative for this game and won't change much his team from the one that brillantly won on Saturday.

Hope he will play Varane and keep Eriksen in the XI has we have more control with them.

true... I did think Antony looked to be improving before his legal troubles arose. and there is something seriously wrong with Rashford's game at the moment

Varane must play - brings calm and experience to the defence (and I don't want to see him go to Saudi)

Reward those who are in form. That means dropping Antony and handing his place to Pellistri. Garnacho did better than Rashford has lately so he keeps his place for me.

Cool, point taken noted... I thought that after I sent the post, so I hold my hands up, absolutely.

But yes, how ETH gets the best out of Rasmus is key... no point playing the same way and then just substituting him. It's not Rasmus' fault.. it's poor management to bring a player of that age, still quite raw, and ask him to lead the line at Man Utd without any clear plan for how to get the best out of him.

I think I'm in the minority in agreeing with you on this. He's much more composed and positionally disciplined than any of our other available CBs.

I expect United to be beaten and end any hopes to qualifying. This team struggle beating anyone, that's how I see it.

The one blessing of being a bit crap is that all our games have jeopardy, which it makes them.more exciting..

Think it'll be the same 11 as weekend except Rashford for Garnacho. Varane a possibility, but Ten Hag talking of a settled 11 in the press conference suggests he'll try and keep the same team for a couple of weeks

Guys, we are gonna win this easy. It's a farmers team, in a farmers league, in a farmers country.

    3-0.
