Think that’s been the case in every game so far. He plays some really neat passes, reads the game well and accelerates our play in a lot of ways. And then he makes loads of mistakes. I don’t mind the mistakes because it’s refreshing compared to players who don’t want to receive the ball under pressure or can’t see the pass, but it’s weird.

Seems like he’s trying to do things he’s not really capable of. I guess playing second fiddle to Modric and Kroos can get a bit boring, and he’s taking the opportunity to express himself. The thing is he didn’t seem like much of a baller at Santos either, but played with a similar kind of adventure. I reckon he needs a partner he can trust to defer to.

I've been saying he's playing like our de facto playmaker from the back. What's impressed me is that he's more than capable of playing those one-touch passes back to goal etc. It's high risk because one yard short and it's a bad pass but he's doing it because he has to. As the deepest lying midfielder with the rest of the team literally ahead of him, if he doesn't, he's simply passing the ball back to the centre backs or just square balls.

The issue is that he's finding the intensity is different and he's not had a lot of game time but you can tell he's keeping calm and just playing his game. That's the experience and class for a 5 time CL winner there. Also not every ball can be passed with the first touch, he's going to have get it out of his feet (which is what happened with the Everton goal) and realise he's going to be pressed faster than usual.

Casemiro having a weird night, great moments mixed with some sloppiness, need to up his concentration levels as it seems Onana & Iwobi are targeting him when he gets on the ball.

I get that Casemiro hasn't had the best of starts here, but we have some proper fecking weirdos in our fanbase who seem to actively want him to fail. Weirdos.

Goal here and there wont erase his behavior, can't wait to see his back.
I wrote the post just before he scored btw. I don’t consider his behaviour worse than Rooney’s during the City flirt. Although I never really forgave Rooney in fairness. I understand Ronaldo’s situation more.

still think people are underestimating how much losing a son had on him ffs. Let me just repeat that: he lost a son. It doesn’t get mentioned enough.

That’s why you start Casemiro. He will only get better as he gets used to the league. Shameful how many wrote him off so quickly.

I can't for the life of me understand why a player who is still capable of scoring for United gets so much disrespect. Y'all need to chill it's very embarrassing.
I’ve been thinking of suggesting that a Man Utd fans forum section of Redcafe should be opened, seeing as how we seem to be missing that these days.

Antony has surprised me a lot so far at United, he's been very measured and intelligent. Was expecting a much more wild and brainless dribble merchant.

remember how many people on here were saying he’s nowhere near the standard required for the premier league? I’d take three or four more of his quality here in a heartbeat

Do Everton normally drop this deep?

Yeah, they've been a very cagey side so far this season. They're bottom 3 for goals scored and goals conceded with good reason.

Have to say I absolutely hate this offside rule when the linesman has to keep his flag down until the attack has fizzled out even when it’s a clear as day offside. One day a player is going to pick up a nasty injury from this stupid rule.

very good teams can concede like that once every x amount of matches, not twice in one match

we’re not playing well at all
I'll have a word with the lads at ht. Get them to score overhead kicks from the halfway line only from now on because IFC 1905 on redcafe doesn't think they're playing well.

3 years later we're still hearing about Maguire's traumatic experience in Greece (that he caused) but Ronaldo lost a child a few months ago and yet that's barely ever mentioned.

It's clear it becomes personal for some, intentionally or not. Ronaldo also looked up for it on Thursday.

Ironically Ronaldo got more empathy from Liverpool fans than United ones.

Good to see him score. Hopefully things are improving on his home front as well.

I hope going in leading doesnt kill our desire now in the second half. Need another one at least.
Now 700 is out of the way, let's hope Ronnie is more relaxed and starts working towards getting his 800th

It’s taken a lot of managers but we have finally found someone who has told DDG it’s not enough to just stand on the line and make saves with his feet

Tackle on Casemiro that led to the goal. Tackle from behind is now legal. It’s not the speed of the league, it’s the threshold for what is a foul.

I'm not sure, often it's really simple things he's making a balls of which bizarrely makes me feel he will settle.

Can't believe Lampard has been getting so much praise. They look like a blue Burnley.

Sums up the cafe, id argue about half of the cafe were gutted when Ronaldo scored.

Casemiro will be fine, we've controlled the game 10 times better than earlier games.
There is a zip in the passing and if we had another dribbler like Antony on the other wing we would have created even more.

Goal here and there wont erase his behavior, can't wait to see his back.

Yeah it's strange the idea that one goal, in a match that he should already have scored if he could be bothered to get onside instead of flapping his arms, should make up the rotten performances we've had from him this season, after he threw himself at various other clubs over the summer but none would take him.

If he rolls back the years and starts banging them in, then fair enough, but at the moment he's really not earning his wage.

We need a 3rd because it’s Man Utd even though Everton are piss poor

There is no excuse for cnutish behavior.

Am I on acid or is De Dea sweeping well and not sweating bullets on the ball?
Will i get banned if i ask what it's like on acid?

If yes, DDG is sweeping really well...

As a team, they seem less micro in their views of play. I've not this of us in a long time.. i like it, i like how DDG and other are playing. Definately top 4 team.

Happy for Ronnie, and he did 700 with us. Martial what a waste.

Yeah, capable of scoring is a nice way to describe his terrible form.
Yeah he scored a goal, what a legend!

I'm not hating, he's just not good enough anymore to be our main striker. Will be happy if he'll leave in january.
