DDG shocked me. Not only sweeping, he was involving himself in build up, made a couple of nice incisive passes. Also failed to save Iwobi’s shot. I’m not complaining about the latter. Where is David De Gea?

I noticed he was coming out of his goal a lot more and not just hoofing it forward

I can't for the life of me understand why a player who is still capable of scoring for United gets so much disrespect. Y'all need to chill it's very embarrassing.

Happy for Ronaldo. I must admit, DDG was very good reading the game and played the sweeper keeper.

A good team comes out, ups the tempo, gets the third goal quick to kill the game then pings it around the rest of the game looking to fill their boots. Let's see what we manage.

3 years later we're still hearing about Maguire's traumatic experience in Greece (that he caused) but Ronaldo lost a child a few months ago and yet that's barely ever mentioned.

It's clear it becomes personal for some, intentionally or not. Ronaldo also looked up for it on Thursday.
So so true. Barely hear about it. He met with Jordan Peterson (weirdly) recently due to depression. Clearly going through it. People quick to judge and forget he’s human due to his superhuman talent and career.

Casemiro looked pretty good I thought. A few errors here and there (being put in difficult situations by his team mates at times tbf), but he's also made some massive contributions.

Anyway, De Gea the biggest surprise of the half. Done very well with the ball and sweeping.

Overall very uplifting half. Starting to look like how I am expecting us to look under Erik.

Yea I posted the same about Casemiro earlier. He was too weak for the goal and has a few misplaced passes but nothing worse than we see every game from Fred and McT.

However he has won the ball back quite a few times, shows for the pass when it's with the defenders and has also played some nice passes.

If he scored the header (when he started the move) and with the assist to Ronaldo we would probably be having a completely different discussion as a fan base.

Be greedy, but you better score when you do. He's taking shots that he shouldn't take. Bruno has been in a great position twice and Ronaldo was way too greedy.

I'm glad he's scored now and maybe he'll settle down.
    Agree with everything you said

What effect does that have on what he did in Las Vegas in 2009?

I don’t particularly care that he wanted to leave, I never wanted him back. I despise the prick.

I missed the first 10 mins. Reading the comments during that time, looks like it’s either the drama queens out in force or we were playing as horrendously bad like the 1st half in the Manchester Derby last week? I didn’t see it so can’t comment what one is the more accurate.

I think since I tuned in, we’ve been playing some really nice stuff and unlucky not to be more than one goal ahead. Controlling the midfield and always looking dangerous when we get the ball into our attacking players. Martial picking up an injury yet again is fecking frustrating though, particularly when he’s been playing well in the games he’s played this season.

2nd half, I expect Everton to come more at us in the 2nd half with them being a goal down. That could very well play into our hands with the amount of space in behind our players could exploit.

Casemiro and Dalot have been way too sloppy on the ball. Although Casemiro has at least had positive moments with some good interceptions/tackles and it course the assist. Dalot has done nothing positive.

Also, the amount of square passes we play in our own half time and again is staggering. Even though we have conceded many many goals from those same exact passes.

We've been playing really well, strong first half all over. Martial was good until his injury. We look a level above Everton today.

Lets see if Haaland gets close to 700 career goals. With the circle jerking going on around him, you'd think he's there or thereabouts already.
The circle jerking is warranted. Have you not seen his goal scoring record?

Just because the greatest goalscorer the game has seen in our generation got 700 does not take away from what Haaland is doing

Very important game this is I think. We need to win these type of games playing the way ten hag wants us to play. Persevering throught the mistakes and all. The more experience the team have of trying to play possession football against a press away from home and winning will all contribute to us getting to our destination quicker. Promising signs, not trying to jinx de gea but....hes been very good with his feet.

Antony has surprised me a lot so far at United, he's been very measured and intelligent. Was expecting a much more wild and brainless dribble merchant.

Disgusting how fast you guys have turned on Ronaldo tbh. Such a fickle forum. I’m annoyed with him too, but I ain’t trashing a player that has done so much in a red shirt ffs.

Goal here and there wont erase his behavior, can't wait to see his back.

United have played well. Expect a 3 - 1, given no brainfarts or unhappy accidents …

Watch the goals again. Onana loses the ball on his own and then Iwobi does something worth or getting him hooked
That’s because they’re all on edge and are anxious with the ball when they do get it.

Could also be that he's been generally poor despite a few good moments

His passing is a bit erratic which catches the eye, but what stands out to me is his positioning and reading of the game, he gives a ton of value there even if he is having a rough game technically, which he capable of having. Utd have not had that type of midfield positioning in years.

It will take Casemiro a while to figure out that you can’t fart about with the ball in the EPL. You can see his quality.
Nice to see DDG sweeping as well. Been a good half overall.

Well, this is a bit different because you've made it personal for a good reason and you're not trying to spin it.

This was more about those of the United 'fans' who rejoice in him being shit when that's detrimental to us.

As for that incident, that lady's lawyer fecked up recently and we don't know the full truth but I've not read enough about it.

He did, a left ball over the top for Bruno which led to Martial/Antony fight to score from the same ball

That was a fantastic half. Everton got a good shot in and have had nothing since. We should've scored more if our understanding in the final third was better. Lovely play from Bruno, Martial and Antony for the first and quickfire combination of Casemiro and Ronaldo for the second. Glad Ronaldo got his 700, needs to calm down now and play for the team, no more weak foot shots from outside the box please. Shame Martial got injured again, he and United can't catch a break.

Casemiro is at fault for the goal but he just has a much more expansive range of passing than McT/Fred and is helping our attacking play. If he can cut out the mistakes and adjust to the pace of the league he'll be a great asset. Speaking of mistakes, I'm furious with Dalot. He's giving the ball away time after time in dangerous positions. No more of that in the second half, he's better than this.

We need to make sure we survive the initial Everton pressure of the second half and then kill them when they tire out. Only way we don't get a win here is if we feck it up ourselves.

I hope going in leading doesnt kill our desire now in the second half. Need another one at least.

Luckily for Casemiro his assist overshadowed the terrible pass he'd made to give away possession moments before.

He has made at least 3 terrible passes so far.
His assist didn't overshadow it because he redeemed himself for winning the ball he lost back, the assist was cherry on top.

I agree he has had some baffling passes some though has to do with the players passing to him when he is under pressure, first goal for example I don't know why Antony will pass to him instead of Dalot who was free. He has been good, he should have had a goal himself besides the assist.
