That ref absolutely pissed me off. He really wanted Everton to get that equaliser. The little shit

When Gabriel for Arsenal was defending? Mate, if that's what you're talking about, the rules are totally different when the handball is from a player on offense.

Genuinely my mistake then. I didn't realize the law makes a distinction between attackers and defenders in handball.

Get in!! Good win. That handball decision was a joke and the added on time at the end was absolute bollocks. Ref done everything he could to help Everton square things up.

Have to remember how few away games have been won in recent times. They are all a struggle. Ten Hag also has to be more proactive with his subs, games was already going away from Utd when he made the first change

It's very true, and I guess we won't care a little further down the line as the points are what matters.

Just think we had so much control in that first half. Should really have buried this game. On another day, one of their chances at the end goes in and then suddenly we're giving away points. But, that didn't happen today, so feck it.

    LOVE Antony.

Great result at a place we find difficult.
I don’t get this new narrative that we find things tough at Everton? I’m old enough to remember some great days there, including a 6-2 win. I also recall the Evertonians applauding us off the pitch in the SAF era.

Get the feck in. Well done lads to cope with a few balls into the box at the end, should have been more comfortable but who gives a shit now. Crappy day and a lovely night . Get in there Casimero was great and more games better he will be. Yesssss

Everton's delivery on the corner is masterly. If they get DCL fit, he'll gobble up a few of those and it should stand them in good stead.

VAR tried to screw us. Hate how deep we got at the end, though. I also don't know how they gave Casemiro MoTM. He made a great assist and had some good interceptions, but he gave the ball away in too many dangerous situations. I would have given it to Shaw.

Genuinely my mistake then. I didn't realize the law makes a distinction between attackers and defenders in handball.

No worries then. So you know, 2 years ago, any hanball right before a goal was an automatic foul (volontary or no). Now it's only a foul if it was commited by the player who scores. Lets say Rashford had passed and another player scored, the goal would have been allowed. Don't ask me why, it's the rule.

Good win. Should have been more comfortable. But those are the types of games we dropped points regularly over the last few seasons.

Very good win tonight. Shaw was fantastic and special mentions to Lindelof and Martinez who I thought were great.

very good game. everton away is not easy. just hope martial gets fit as i think our attack will be extremly fluid when he is around.

I still think Casemiro was fouled and I'm yet to see any angle of the goal that shows Rashford touched it with his arm. When you think of the Boro goal that was given at OT in the cup last season on a technicality because he only controlled the ball with his arm before seeing up the goal.... ffs

My take on this game is we have to improve a lot. We need to give the ball away less, control the game more and be sharper in transition. This game should have been 1:4.

I’m 100% sure that’s exactly what Ten Hag wants aswell. I’m sure it will come later on in the season. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again were a 1 halve team at the minute. For whatever reason we can’t keep up the tempo and performance for a full 90 minutes. We only ever have 1 good halve.

VAR screwed me out of £700 tonight. All I needed was Rashford to score. From total elation to the pits of despair in about 45 seconds.

Joke of a decision, especially as West Ham benefited from the exact same situation earlier.

Very good showing in a tough venue. Shaw played really well, Casemiro made a mistake, then made up for it. Martinez was good too. Dave played well, good save good distribution and sweeping when needed. Dalot was good too. Anthony is a great addition. Martial played well. Lots to be cheerful about. Magnificent goal by Ronaldo.

    Yes; crazy rule

That sucks mate. This handball rule needs amending. There were three tonight and two were allowed. I don't like how the rule used to be, but it's still pretty shit now as well. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like a judgement has to be made on how much the handball influenced the goal. There is nothing he can do about that ball, and even if it hits Rashford in the chest, he still scores.

The one that went against us against Boro last season comes to mind. If a handball clearly changes the flight path of the ball, and gives them an advantage, it should be disallowed.

I think the frustration is the double standards when both Scamacca and Antonio did the same thing for West Ham earlier in the day and had their goals awarded.

Shocked at the Ronaldo goal…heard he couldn’t run or score anymore - finished some called him.

How was Casemiro man of the match? He was a bit better than a few previous games but a lot of mistakes, also got muscled about to easily. Eriksen, Martinez had better games. Basically, we found a great recipe for scoring easy goals. Trick opponent with a misplaced pass thinking they can counter. Then uno-reverse steal the ball back and make an own counter. Worked 2 in 3 times yesterday. Once we conceded. Lots of teams are really poor defending in transition.

This 100%. I was specifically paying attention to Eriksen and admiring his quiet, unassuming genius. That guy is just brilliant. Not sure what Casemiro did so special to make him MoM. Way too many mistakes is what I saw.
