Hope we rest Fred and Bruno, but don't see it considering we probably will play the diamond, in which our strikers look terrible so interesting to see how Ighalo would cope

I can't see Ole resting too many players tonight, if any at all, as we have a genuinely good chance to win it the cup given the draw.

EL + FA cup double would be pretty sweet all things considered.

    20-man United squad arrives
    Keepers: Kovar, De Gea, Romero.
Defenders: Shaw, Williams, Lindelof, Dalot, Bailly, Tuanzebe.
Midfielders: Matic, McTominay, Lingard, Pereira, Fred, Fernandes, Mata.
    Forwards: Greenwood, Chong, Martial, Ighalo.

    'Leaked' United line up
This ‘leaked’ line-up is doing the rounds. By no means a certainty.
Romero Shaw Lindelof Bailly Dalot McTominay Fred Fernandes Lingard Mata Ighalo

I never want to hear that Ole gives youth a chance. Since the new year, he has been extremely careful. Tranmere, Derby, it doesn't matter. Pereira and the Lingards are the ones playing, not James Garner.

Worried we're already over playing Fernandes

Fancy that team to win this by at least 4 goals. Can’t see Rooney competing against the energy in a Fredtominandes midfield.

Loving Mata recently too, Fernandes has unleashed his the dimensions to his play we haven’t seen for a while.

Why Lingard? Why no greenwood instead?
I guess Martial is semi injured and James is out too.

We went from playing Williams every single game to not playing him at all/playing Shaw every single match. I guess it makes some sense to take him out of the spotlight for a bit after a few rough performances from him.

I'm hoping we get a good foothold in the game early on and can sub off McTom, Fred and Bruno all around the 60m mark, but I actually can't remember a game where Bailly and Lindelof played well together without having Fellaini doing most of the work for them :nervous:

Agreed. After a bright start he is giving shit first teamers minutes over promising youth. Lingard is shit... feck him off!

I'd be seriously worried if he did.

Not really full of confidence with this team but we need to rotate.

Thought there would be a bit more yoof. Just Lingard starting

Good lineup. Should completely dominate with that midfield and Mata as well. Hope we have the cutting edge, but with Bruno I'm not worried.

Romero Shaw Lindelof Bailly Dalot McTominay Fred Fernandes Lingard Mata Ighalo

Looks like the 4231 is getting some love again.

    Romero

    Dalot Lindelof Baily Shaw

    Mctominay Fred

    Lingard Bruno Mata

    Ighalo
    Something like that maybe?

Greenwood started against Everton so was unlikely to start this match.

Shaw ahead of Williams is the strange one. Shaw has rightfully established himself as first choice again with his good performances lately, so thought it was almost certain we'd use this match to give Williams another appearance.

Whats up with Williams? He piss in Ole's tea or something?
Shaw is just playing very well at the minute. Williams will get his chance but out of the two, Shaw is the more on form player.
