Tuanzabe and Bailley at the back could be interesting.

    Romero

    Dalot Tuanzabe Bailley Wiliams

    Mctominay Garner

    Greenwood Gomes James

    Ighalo

Apparently Tuanzebe was rubbish the other night though. Not sure he's properly fit yet. Like the rest of the team though, maybe stick Jones in with Bailly if he's fit or give Mengi his debut?

I hope both Matic and Maguire are rested for this game. Surely Bailly and anyone else should be good enough? I hope Fred gets a break too.

Hasn't it been nice not to see Lingard or Pereira in lineups anymore?

Who'd have thought we'd play better without those two....

    Europa League
    FA Cup
    League

I would rather win both FA Cup and Europa League and finish 6th than finish 4th or 5th and win neither trophy

This. Europa gets us a CL place too so focus on winning some trophies. Bit risky of course.

Full strength tomorrow now after the draw and Norwich result. Semis could be stacked, but the Norwich draw is kind with the greatest of respect to them.

No chance we take this lightly with the kind draw we've been given if we progress.

    Romero
    Williams Bailly Jones Shaw
    Mctominay Matic
    Mata Fernandes Pereira
    Martial

Want united to go 3 nil up and then Rooney to score a worldie and get cheered by everyone. Wish I could go.

I had a dream that Rooney scores two crackers tonight. And over celebrated both.

Knowing it's Norwich in the next round I'll be proper annoyed if we dont win later.

There's a great chance to go to the semi finals

    Rooney stats -

Played 6 games against United throughout his career. 6 losses. 0 goals.

Let's not tarnish that now, Wayne. Hope away fans give him a good reception though.

    Romero

    Dalot
    Lindelof
    Bailly
    Williams

    McTominay
    Pereira
    Mata

    Greenwood
    Ighalo
    Lingard

Good to see him again, one of my favorites.

Hope we'd be able to win this comfortably and rest our keys for Sunday.

Yep and rival draws are tough enough. Would be true post fergie United to mess this up

Must win game. Norwich in the next round is a good draw. If Ole wants to be here next season, a trophy would secure that - even if he finished 7th i reckon the board would keep him with a trophy under his belt.

    Over to you, Ole.

    We'd lose with that selection.
Then none of them should play again. Derby are bottom half of championship and rubbish.

Wouldn’t be playing many if not any who are playing Sunday which is priority.

Placing leaves an eggs in all one basket scenario in which its Europa or bust. It's not a given we win Europa just because we want to. should leave 2 avenues into champions league open

    Romero

    Dalot
    Lindelof
    Bailly
    Williams

    McTominay
    Pereira
    Mata

    Greenwood
    Ighalo
    Lingard

For better or worse this is the line-up i think we'll go with. In my line up prediction I had Bruno & Martial coming on as subs...which may give an indication of how well i think the game will go with this side haha

Was thinking full rotation before the draw, now I’m thinking near full strength resting a few in 2nd half.

    Romero
    Dalot Bailly Maguire williams
    McT Fred
    Greenwood Mata Martial
    Ighalo

Bruno only if required, Chong and Matic can give martial and Fred/McT a break in 2nd half if it’s comfortable.

Fred, Bruno, McT, Martial, Maguire all need rest. Few intensive matches are lined up so better give them a rest.

    Starting XI

    Romero

    Dalot
    Lindelof
    Bailly
    Williams

    Pereira
    McTominay

    Mata
    Lingard
    Greenwood

    Ighalo

    subs:
    Bishop
    Maguire
    Shaw
    Fred
    Matic
    Fernandes
    Martial

    Score Prediction:
    Derby County 1-3 Manchester United

I doubt Lingard, Perriera are championship level. But we are running out of option.

McT needs a rest? I don't get it...

I wouldn't say McTom needs a rest, potentially used with caution as to not overplay him too soon after coming back from injury

Shaw, Maguire, AWB, Fred, Martial - all potentially need a rest with weeks ahead

Fred and Maguire birthdays today. Born exactly the same day uncannily. Hope they both get a rest today and the team give them a win as a birthday present.

What would you say our priority is out of:

    FA Cup
    Top four
    Europa Cup

Top 4 only. A distant second is Europa, and a very, very distant third is FA Cup.

We have been extremely fortunate that Bruno has hit the ground running and made such a huge and immediate impact on our performances. We should remember that we are only one injury away from desperation again. The squad is still thin and still needs to be rotated. We try to win every match but we can't play our best XI in all three competitions.

Winning silverware is great for the club, the players' morale, and the fans, but we need CL football. 4th place guarantees we get it. Europa is an energy-sapping competition with some crazy distances traveled, we need to use our B-team (if they can be identified). We have seen that we are blunt against teams that sit deep and defend, and that is probably what the Europa minnows would do, and we can be shocked by whichever club is the new version of Midtjylland.

    Focus on the league.

We really shouldn't be playing Maguire in this game. He has six more appearances than anyone else in the squad and has started our last twelve games. There is really no need to risk him against a side like Derby - alongside Bruno he might be the most important player to keep fit for the rest of the season.
Totally agree. We are pushing it to the limit with Harry.

Strikes me as the type that will walk through walls to play every game, he needs resting. We still have CL qualification to play for, can’t risk him.

Think we'll go with the diamond again, seeing as we've no wingers.

    Romero
    Dalot Bailly Maguire Williams
    Matic
    Fred McTominay
    Mata
    Greenwood Ighalo
Give Bruno a rest, bring him on if we're struggling.
3-1 to us. Rooney to score a consolation and get a standing ovation from the entire ground.

Lots of people saying to rest Bruno but does he need it? Not sure and can't be bothered to look it up but surely he played less games in Portugal than our guys here like maguire? Or was he stacked up playing lots while he was in Portugal?

    Romero
    jones tuanzebe bailly

    dalot matic mata fred williams

    greenwood ighalo

subs: lindelof grant lingard fernandes martial shaw gomes, chong, anyone but Pereira

this lot embarassed us last season. Lets hope it does not happen again. We should put out a strong team. We will most likely lose with our second string
