Hope we can manage to get a result there.

It will be tough as we usually have some issues there, but we should absolutely get a result.

    ----------------------------------------------Onana-----------------------------------------------
    Mazraoui--------------------De Ligt--------Lisandro---------------------------Dalot
    -----------------------------------Ugarte---------Mainoo-------------------------------------
    Garnacho-------------------------------Bruno---------------------------------Rashford
    ----------------------------------------------Zirkzee----------------------------------------------

This could be a tricky game away at Palace but we should still be winning here. No point in having a 7-0 confidence booster mid week and following it up with a defeat at the weekend.

Is there a chance any players are back from injury?

Playing Rashford upfront again might be a good idea, it‘s a lot more direct than playing Zirkzee. It depends on how Palace set up. Will they sit back or have a go at us?

Statistically we have been a lot better this season on a number of key metrics (yes yes, I realise that the points actually gained has not been good enough), so I am expecting us to at least turn up for this one and play on the front foot.

The 4-0 last season was a little unrepresentative given that it was the first time it looked like the players were just not having Ten Hag and the tools were downed. Obviously we then won the next few including the cup final and so they got back on board again with the change to a slightly more defensive system.

Bottom line for me, Palace are a very good yardstick of a team who can potentially beat us, but this should only happen 1 out of 10 games if we perform to the level of player we now have. Losing this would be a 'back to square 1' moment I think

It's a must not lose really - we need a win momentum wise, but a draw isn't world ending. We've been terrible under ETH of late with if we're having a bad day always coming out with a defeat.

Can see us pinching a hard fought 0-1/2.

Even if they did they wouldn't start, from what I've heard Lindelof & Hojlund have a chance of bench but Malacia, Shaw, Mount & Yoro are a way off still and probably not until next international break

A win here would go a long way to showing we can put a decent run together

Even Shaw was reported to be to close to returning. I think they'll be with the squad for the Tottenham game.

I know it's become the fun thing to dunk on Mount but there are games where his pressing will really benefit us.

    I'd go

    Onana

    Dalot
    Martinez
    De ligt
    Mazroui

    Urgate
    Mainoo
    Fernandes

    Garnacho
    Rashford
    Amad

Rashford looks like he might be hitting form so make hay while the sunshines, Garnacho seems to be racking up goal involvements and Amad seems the best with the ball.

I agree. He really should be rotating with Bruno. It was probably forced a little bit when we started the season with false 9 system with them both starting together but I'd rather not see that again.

I just wish he gets over all these niggling injury issues. If he can find his Chelsea form again that's going to be really invaluable for us.

2 steps forward let’s not hope it’s 1 step back. It would sum up the last few years if we were to lose here

Potential for a mini run if they don’t slip up here.

United are a very emotional side so anything could happen, but 10 goals in 2 games has to give them some confidence.

I hope we start with Rashord Garnacho and Amad, as none of these 3 deserves to be dropped on form.

I hate the palace away fixture, by we need a result to keep our good form going.

    Onana
    Mazz De ligt Licha Dalot
    Ugarte Mainoo
    Amad Bruno Garna
    Rashford

Feels like Palace along with Brighton are one of our bogey teams (although I haven’t checked the data to back that up).

I think we’re showing some signs of improvement and an early goal here would really set us up nicely. If however, we’re at 0-0 after 60 mins or so, it has the potential to be one of those games that gets away from us as we tire and get frustrated.

Want to see Garnacho back in the starting 11 too.

    ----------------- Onana --------------------
Maz - De Ligt - Martinez - Dalot
    ----------- Maino --- Ugarte -----------
    Amad ------- Bruno -------- Rashford
    ---------------- Zirkzee --------------------

Keep Garnacho hungry coming off the bench. Casemiro v Urgate is a toss up, but I imagine playing twice in 1 week is asking a lot from Casemiro so soon after being dropped v Southampton.

Not against seeing Rashford down the middle and Garnacho outwide, but Ten Hag doesn't strike me as a manager who'll divert from his game plan so easily. He didn't play Rashford through the middle at the start of the season when we had no strikers, can't imagine the Barnsley game changing his mind so suddenly.

Yep we'd go flying into the Spurs home game if we nick this.
This is probably an harder game to be fair. Spurs will walk straight into our hands. They play a very high line so we should have some joy against them

Last seasons game was probably our worst performance under ten hag. Including the 7 nil v pool. We owe them one

It feels to me like we haven't had many draws recently. I've just checked the table for the last couple of years and only 1 team had less draws than us last season (Arsenal), and only one the season before (Man City). And this year we've won 2, lost 2, no draws so far.

The seasons before that we had 10 and 11 draws - close to twice what we've had the last couple of seasons - so it seems a recent thing under ETH. Is it something to do with ETH chasing victories late on and opening up the game and meaning we either win it or lose it with late goals? If so, I think we should be a bit tighter in away matches late on and try to make sure we don't lose as many. As, like you say, draws away against most PL opposition isn't the end of the world.

    Eriksen deserves another start.

    I doubt Ugarte will yet.
I don't think we should start Eriksen away at Palace.

The last couple of games have been good opponents for him - Southampton with their open, technical style, and Barnsley with their limited quality. But Palace away is one of those tough PL matches where you'll be overrun in midfield if you pick players whose legs have gone.

It's much more a game for an energetic battler like Ugarte. I'd much rather we start him and see how long he can last. He's getting games undes his belt now with Uruguay and us, so should be feeling fit enough to last minimum 60 minutes.

Important game to keep momentum going. Ridiculous how hard it's been to rack up consecutive wins for us has been.

I didn't think Ugarte looked ready for a PL game myself last night. I'd be surprised if he starts.

    Somewhat agree on Eriksen though.

    Onana
    Maz De Ligt Martinez Dalot
    Casemiro Mainoo Bruno
    Amad Rashford Garnacho

Would like to see Zirkzee start but the form forwards will play, and rightly so.

    Defense picks itself.
    Ugarte over Casemiro all day.
    Amad is our RW
Rashford looks to be getting a bit of form
    Need Bruno's workrate
Zirkzee is looking good with Rashford.

Very close, but I see Ugarte starting against Palace. And, like you, I also see Rashford starting up top and Amad and Garnacho in wide positions. Whether it can work against Palace remains to be seen but I actually think it can so long as Rashford keeps his head up, contributes to the pressing game and makes runs into spaces rather than waiting for the ball to come to him and then trying to beat the back line by himself.

I’d go with this but have Ugarte over Cas. 2 games in a week might be too much for Cas. Plus palace will look to dominate us in midfield so will need a younger Player with more legs to give. Although I’d go with the front 3 you mentioned, I think Zirkzee will come back in and it will be similar to the squad that played Southampton.

Not a fan of trying to get all 3 of Rashford, Garnacho and Amad onto the pitch from the start.

You limit your options from the bench…just pick two and the one who doesn’t start can come on after an hour. Use it as a strength.

Are people really putting Rashford in center striker position just because he bagged a couple against Burnsley? Oh no. Recency bias is alive and well.

    Onana
    Mazzy, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot
    Ugarte
    Mainoo Bruno
    Amad Zirkzee Rashy

(if we need to change things up, maybe we can rekindle the Rashy Garny bromance)
Only reason i'm starting rashford is because maybe just maybe he's starting to get back into form.

I'd bench Mainoo and play both Casemiro and Ugarte.

Can't see Amad Garnacho both named to start this Saturday. One will start and the other kept on the bench to provide impact when introduced.

    Don't over think it

    Onana
    Mazraoui-de Ligt-Martinez-Dalot
    Ugarte-Mainoo
    Bruno
    Amad-Zirkzee-Rashford

Bench: Bayindir, Garnacho, Hojlund, Casemiro, Eriksen, Maguire, Mount, Collyer, Evans
