Yeah, because ten Hag knew they'd be injured for large spells prior to signing them
EtH not knowing something doesn't surprise. The man is clueless.

And just FYI, Amrabat was his player previously and Mount was injured for the whole year pretty much before this idiot got him for 55m and gave him the #7 shirt. Wasters all of them.

Almost think I’d rather start Amass, and play Dalot there than put Casemiro or McSauce at CB. Casemiro can’t run.

    Onana
    AWB - Dalot - Maguire - Amass
    Bruno - Mainoo
    Garnacho - Amad - Rashford
    Hojlund

We seem to be a cup team under ETH. So think we’ll reach another final. Even if we win 5-0 against these wouldn’t get carried away like some people will. We’ll probably still lose the next league game so it won’t be a ‘turned corner’
There are no corners when you’re just going round in circles. :wenger:

Dalot at centre-back? I can understand not wanting to play Casemiro or McTominay, but I’m pretty sure Dalot has never played centre-back before. Would be an interesting move though.

additionally, the kid Amass only turned 17 last month. Handing him his debut by throwing him into the deep end in an FA Cup semi final would be unwise, IMO.

I don’t think that’s such a good idea. He isn’t so mobile now and will likely get sent off with his lazy tackling. I wonder if AWB could play CB? McTominay is probably the best option.
AWB has a bad habit of sticking a leg out. He’d be a liability at CB.

We'll win this. But of course we should, it's a fecking Championship side.

Maybe so, but in a cup tie, anything can happen. It's a once in a lifetime game for them so they will be well up for it. We should have enough to win but if we put in a Bournemouth/.Brentford performance, it might well be two teams called City in the final.

Dropping Casemiro, playing Dalot at centre back, Amad AND a 17 year old debutant starting?!

    What in the Fifa24..

Feck me really? I hope that is fake news, we have only Maguire and Dalot left in defense.

I watched Aberdeen give Celtic a really good push in the semi final. Almost a similar thing in that Aberdeen in reality would have only had a 1 in 10 chance of winning but played their best game of the season and lost on penalties. For all those thinking this is a game we will win I would be seriously worried about the chance Coventry pull out a 1 in 10 chance and beat us.

Are we even sure McTominay is fit to return? If so, I’d agree he’s the best bet.

I think this match has lost quite a bit of significance after City’s win. We’d be losing finalists at best or at worst, the victim of an FA Cup gaint killing. I’d prefer the latter. Our entire squad is decimated with injuries, we’ll look like absolute clowns against City.

Most of our CBs will have returned from injury by the final.

Honestly, playing Tom Huddlestone just for the lols would be entertaining and comedic. How old is he, 38? 39?

    He's 37.

I don't think Hud should play because he's a coach now, but he was a classy player. Great range of passing and scored some absolute screamers, especially for Spurs.

But yeah seeing him given a sub appearance or two in the league would be cool.

McT has played as CB with Scotland right?

    Three months.

I really don't know why people keep this myth going of him being injured more than he really was at Chelsea. He missed one game earlier in the season, otherwise he played every single match last season up until the start of March. Barely missed a game in the three years before that either. Obviously buying him on the back of him having one fairly big injury always carried an element of risk, but people constantly exaggerate it for no reason.

It's as bad as the 'Maguire never looked the same after Greece', despite the season directly after that being easily the best in his career.

Like last year? It was pretty close I thought.

Chelsea was the better team yesterday, they had the best chances. Cheaty is predictable and can be beaten.

First we have to get there, that is certainly not a given.

We will win easily, but who even cares at this point? We will just make this season longer and end up serving City their double on a silver platter in the middle of Wembley. Well, I guess it's the box office storyline the FA want, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get helped by VAR today as well.

Look we ruined Klopp‘s farewell tour. We might as well ruin Cheaty‘s season too.

I'd be fecking ecstatic if we did, but the way it's going by that point we might have to play the U-21s and Tom Huddlestone just to be able to field 11 players.

    In a back 3 I think.

I'd go in a 4-3-3 with dalot, mcT, Maguire, AWB, casemiro as anchor, mainoo and Bruno in CM, garnacho on the right, rashy on the left and hojlund upfront

I‘m worried with McT at CB. Another option:
    Dalot Maguire Casemiro AWB
    Mainoo Eriksen
    Bruno
    Antony Højlund Garnacho

Coventry are 7/2 to qualify and 11/2 to win in normal time which seems like crazy numbers to me looking at how we we have been playing

Going to smash these 4 or 5 nil.

Bookies are just trying to make more easy money by having shorter odds on Coventry.
