I wouldn't play Martial, he did a lot of limping against Chelsea.

    Romero
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Williams
    Pereira Fred
    Fernandes Mata James
    Ighalo

Swap Pereira and Fernandes round if it's not working.

Why is everyone getting carried away with Bailly. Yes, he had a brilliant game on monday, he is coming back from a long injury lay off, we need to manage him instead of playing him every 3 days after such an injury.

Funny how everyone blames Ole for mismanaging players, yet so many want Bailly to start.

This game is perfect for Lindelof, European game, less ariel threat.

Save Bailly for a battle with Deeney on Sunday.

    Romero
    Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Dalot Fred Pereira Williams
    Fernandes
    Ighalo Martial
    0-1 Ighalo.

He didn't travel, wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench Sunday though, or for the 2nd Leg a week today.
There were 18 players on the list, and you can have 7 players on the bench, so probably not.

    Who?

Genuinely, I've heard of most of our youngsters, who the feck are these guys?

    Romero
    Tuanzebe Bailly Lindelof
    Dalot Fernandes Matic Shaw
    Mata
    Ighalo Martial
Defend with the 3 centre backs, Matic & the 2 wing backs, attack with the 2 wing backs, Mata & the 2 strikers. Bruno box to box. Decent balance there.

Give a rest to Maguire, AWB and Fred. They badly need it. Let Romero play all the EL campaign. Matic can captain.

A rest? They've just had a winter break. Hahahaha

    They posted this earlier,

MG has stayed behind with McT in Manchester. It looks like he won’t be risked seeing as we have Ighalo.

No mention of injury anywhere so I’m assuming it’s not to risk too many youngsters.

Garner,Chong and Angel are playing against a Bruges u19

Shame about Greenwood and Mctominay, I was hoping both would start tonight.

It looks like we'll be going with a relatively strong first 11.

    He´s ill.

I'd rather use a Leicester city formation in 4-1-4-1 instead of using Pereira as a DM.

Don't want martial involved in this one. He's become crucial to our prospects now and would not like to play him in games where it is not absolutely necessary

Yep, totally agree. It's the easiest thing in the world to pick a team, seeing as how there is no responsibility for any fan, but Ole has to manage these players, and carry the can (Rashford) if any of them get injured whilst playing.

It's good... but then aren't they also sort of bragging that they got knocked out of said competition?
Was thinking that too  Par for the course for them though, surviving in Europe (i.e. going to the EL) is genuinely seen as a great accomplishment for all Belgian teams.

Official twitter accounts attempting banter is the worst thing that has ever happened.

But then we won the EL trophy just two seasons ago, I wouldn't bother asking when they last achieved that.

Lost two European finals to Liverpool in the 70s, never even got to a semis after that and it's unlikely to change in the next few decades imo. The gap with the top competitions is just too big, both on and off the field.

We need a full strength side. No underestimating these boys.

Wouldn't be surprised if there's one or two who don't rate Bailly but want him to start and get injured so they can have a pop at Ole. :nervous:

The caf for you. I think Ole actually got it spot on. Bailly offers a presence in the air v Chelsea

If Lindelof starts tonight, suits him better a tactical European game.
