I hope Martial, Greenwood and Ighalo all score. I might be asking for too much.

McTominay and Pogba fit to return? Or at least one of them please?

Dont think Pogba is training yet so that ones a no, but there were murmurs McTominay was back on the training ground last week, although maybe slightly too early for him too. Maybe Watford for McTominay.

Thanks. It sounds as if they'll tough side to break down and won't leave much space :nervous:
Domestically, yes, but they only face inferior opposition... Real put 5 past them over two games and PSG 6 - not saying you have the quality of those teams but you shouldn't struggle too much if you play decent enough.

I say with 3 games in one week and possibly still two champions league spots available to play for in the league, rest most of our first team for this game and set up to crowd and control the midfield and see out a 0-0 or 1-0 to us and finish them off at old Trafford.

Can see some of last nights bench playing on Thursday. Romero for De Gea, Jones for Baillie (probably not ready for two quick games, save him for Sunday, where he will be important to stave of the aerial bombardment we will be under), Pereira for Matic (will be needed against Watford's big guys), Dalot for AWB, Greenwood for Martial. Wouldn't be surprised to see either Shaw or Williams get a rest, saving them for Watford.

    Romero
    Dalot Jones. Maguire Williams.
    Fernandes Fred
    Pereira. Mata. James
    Greenwood
Would love to see Gomes back on the bench rather than Lingard, and perhaps Tuanzebe will be nearing fitness, wouldn't mind seeing Mengi if Tuanzebe still not fit. This game still may be a bit early for McTominay. De Gea could be on the bench as I believe a number of our keepers are injured (updates welcome), Shaw, Gomes, Matic, Martial, +1. The team will be nothing like this, all my previous have been miles out.

Hoping Dalot instead of James, Romero and Lindelof. Aside from that we need the same team.

Ighalo coming in as a sub, dont think he has enough training with the team to start.

I've read that Rashford could be back for the return leg after Watford. That'd be nice!

Let's get an early goal for once. Also let's play a damn 433 if possible. Reckon we should rest Bruno and Martial.

    Romero
    Dalot Bailly Maguire Williams
    Matic
    Pereira Fred
    Greenwood Ighalo James

Bench: DDG, Martial, Bailly, Greenwood, Bruno, Matic, Chong.

If the winner of this gets Wolves, I might just prefer we lose

I can’t take two more matches against fecking boring Wolves. Haven’t we played them like 16 times in the last year?

Knockout rounds of Europa League - Ole's first Real Test

    Romero
    Dalot - Lindelof - Maguire - Jones
    Pereira - Mata - Fernandes - Lingard
    Greenwood - Ighalo

Subs: Gomes - Garner - Chong

    Brugge 0 - 4 United

I really don't see Ole making that many changes, nor do I see him going to a 4-4-2, but he could actually put that lineup out there...

His injury history page on Transfermarkt says that's his return date. 27th of Feb. Or is that not accurate? I'm not too clued up on his injury.
I couldn't tell you on the accuracy of transfermarkt to be honest but surely we would of heard something by now if he was that close to a return.

I think we will surprise the bookies and win this one 2-1. I think he will start Ighalo and he will surprise everyone by bagging the 2 goals. Its hard to pick the side now. Lost to Chelsea and Ole would have put his strongest side out, probably 9/10 of the team that played last night, but will probably swap it around a bit.
    Romero
    Jones Bailly Shaw
    Dalot Fred Matic Williams
    Mata Ighalo Greenwood

Rashford not due back to April would be my guess.

I saw Brugge vs Madrid in the Champions League and they played well (drew 2-2 at the Bernabeu). I know the Belgian league isn't strong but I think they're 9 points clear of Genk. It will be tougher than some here think and we're not exactly a great side.

If we fully-rotate then I expect we'll lose.

    Romero
    Lindelof--Maguire--Shaw
    Dalot--Pereira--Fred--Williams
    Mata
    Greenwood--Martial

Subs: De Gea; Bailly, AWB; Matic, Bruno; Lingard, Ighlao

It wouldn't be wise to start Bailly so soon after his lengthy injury. Dalot will give us a better attacking threat and it enables us to rest AWB ahead of Watford. I want Matic to start vs Watford so I'd rest him too - 3 games in seven days is too much. I'm wrapping Bruno in cotton wool so Mata can start this one, although I wouldn't be surprised if Ole wants him to start vs Watford for more creativity. James is out of form and seems low on confidence, so he drops out here for Greenwood. The hardest decision is Ighalo or Martial?

I think Martial and Bruno will definately start, Club Brugge arent that bad.

Hopefully we'll have a 2-0 lead not too late and we can start subbing like that.

    Agree with Dalot though.

We seem to play better against the better sides but struggle to break down poorer ones. Fingers crossed it’s the former

    11:31KEY EVENT
United training squad before Club Brugge
Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Nathan Bishop
Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Harry Maguire, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Eric Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah
Midfielders: Fred, Jesse Lingard, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Nemanja Matic, Bruno Fernandes, Connor Stanley, Juan Mata
Forwards: Odion Ighalo, Anthony Martial, Daniel James.

Personally I would rest and protect the 2 players we rely the most on currently, which are Fred and Martial. The former is the heart of our midfield and the latter our only real goal threat until Rashford is back or Ighalo kicks on. We can't afford either of them getting injured or burning out in March.

I would give minutes to Mata, Pereira, Ighalo, Dalot, Greenwood and Lingard.

    Romero
    Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Dalot space Matic spc Willams
    Pereira Lingard
    Mata spac Ighalo Greenwood
