I think that's a very reductive way to look at the situation.
Rashford is the cleverer player and his movement is better than Martial's at the moment.
Even if he does, how many of us here trust Jones/Smalling to keep things tidy at the back. Our best CB is on the bench because Jose is still hoping to Southgate would smuggle Smalling to the WC.
