Rooney didn't travel to Russia, so what's the excuse now?

    Fellers up top:drool:

Mourinho knows the press take pictures at the Lowrey for home games and at the train station/airport/hotel for away games and speculate over the First XI; he even commented on it in his press conference.

With Zlatan out and uncertainty over who will start, he's playing mind games by having 3 absent strikers at this point.
Just for playing mind games, you don't ask three players to travel separately. Either the photographers might have missed them or they are not part of the traveling squad.

    If you say so.

It's annoying there are no replays because Chelsea will find a way to grind through at Stamford Bridge. We never ever win there whether we are brilliant and they are shit or vice-versa. Still, I like the idea of Rashford up top. I just hope Jose gets the team right and has a game-plan and isn't just focused on the Europa League and top 4, now that the League Cup is in the bag and we won the Cup last May. I want us to retain it.

Jones has injured Rooney in training. I don't know if that's the best or worst thing Jones has done recently.

Martial is also injured and Rashford ill.

Haha Christ, Fellaini up front. I hope Valencia and et al have brought their crossing boots.

Fellers to the rescue! I hope one or more of Martial/Rash/Rooney recover for Thursday and the upcoming league game.

How on earth does Jones injure so many people all the time? Anyway so no strikers so I guess this game is a bit pointless.

Play all the midfielders with Pogba/Mata as a false 9

Can you imagine? I cannot stop giggling about this! Would be hilarious if we actually won without any forwards:lol::lol:

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Blind
    Carrick
    Herrera Fellaini
    Mata Pogba Mkhitaryan

Expect we'll see this tbh. Mou needs someone big up top. Could just be fellaini and not pogba of course, but I doubt it'll be a front 3 of miki, mata and lingard/young against chelsea. He'll need an out ball.

Has Martial defo not travelled? Maybe he'll get better from whatever illness he has by Monday night?

Dont think Fellaini as no 9 for 90 minutes will work at all. Better off trying Young or Mata in that role.

Else should play the CF from our reserves. Who is that anyway?

All of your forwards are shitting it at the prospect of facing Gary Cahill and pretending to be injured.

Seriously thought, Fellaini upfront for you is probably not a terrible idea in all honestly, given his strengths.

Yeah would expect Fellaini up top if none of the strikers are fit. Makes more sense for him to be there than Pogba imo. Pogba in a deeper role could play in one of the fwd players, Fellaini isn't going to do that but could create some space for someone up top. Wouldn't be surprised to see him drop Mata though for Young/Lingard if he wants to go really defensive and hope for something on a set piece.
