The team Carrick puts out on the weekend should actually be a real insight as to what's been going on behind the scenes.
If there have been players who have been training badly and sulking, then surely Carrick won't pick them?
Great minds think alike! Very similar to my selection, but ice assumed that Shaw is not fit to start and I've preferred Lindelof over Smalling as I want to send out a message that we are going to bring back out passing play.
We cannot have the likes of young, matic, fellaini and lukaku in the team anymore, these 4 esp represent everything that’s been wrong with united under Jose Mourinho. Let’s make a stand the next manager, and he needs to make a stand by throwing darmian, Valencia, young, Jones, fellaini, matic and lukaku our the door

Broadly agree with your list (most moved now, all by end of the season) but I'm willing to give Matic a stay of execution as part of the issue may be that he has been overused - he has the rest of the season to prove himself.
I'd also add the following to the list of exits:
Rojo - Sicknote and same reason for removing Jones
Darmian - Not good enough quality
Herrera - Not proved it over the seasons he has had with us. Good player, but can lack compsure and go hoof crazy
As i've put in my preferred line up post, I'm giving the front players and deserving youth players a chance. Some may not he up to the grade, but we don't know as Jose has not given them a proper chance
There are a couple of problems with this approach. Without Darmian, Young and Valencia we only have Shaw and Dalot as fullbacks - neither can be consistently be relied upon (at this stage) - we could probably cope with getting rid of Valencia and Darmian in Jan if we bring back TFM.
Fellaini is useful, but not as a midfielder where he's useless.
The issue we have with Lukuku is that we don't really have an alternative, to get rid of Lukuku we need another striker.
There is very little to argue the immediate jettison of Jones and Matic.
I don't think Carrick will bench Lukaku. Assuming fitness, probably this:
De Gea
Dalot Bailly Lindelof Young
Pereira Herrera Pogba
Rashford Lukaku Martial
I assume Smalling will still be out, but if he's fit then he's in and Bailly is out.

Cardiff fans not exactly sitting on the fence
Holy shit, what’s with all the hostility? Liverpool fans don’t even talk that much shit
Just hope we got out there and play some good, attractive football.
Also with Ole now confirmed as caretaker, I’m sure he will deep down want to get one over on Cardiff as his stint there wasn’t the greatest.
Lucky you.I'm going up for the Bournemouth game. It should be his first bow at Old Trafford so I'm pumped now!
He was unbelievably shite at Cardiff, which means most posters on here either must be too young to remember or have it mentally blocked out because of their soft sport for Ole. Personally I can only see this going one way. Caretaker manager sacked, replaced by caretakers assistant.I didn’t realise how unbelievably shite he was at Cardiff.
He did get them relegated - they are hardly going to lay out the red carpet for him.
Hell of an introduction. If Carrick was in charge, this should have been a walkover, now the Cardiff fans will be so up for this - keeps things interesting. Without Ole there would be zero interest in this match.
