You can type fast, can't you ;).
Most United fans (that I speak to) will give Van Gaal plenty of time to get it right. It's the media that want us to turn on him. It makes for better news.

I'm not sure if you saw, but during the QPR game there were people on the Cafe saying it's "decision time for the board soon".

I think he will field his strongest possible team simply because he has been talking about how he needs 'automaticity', that is playing with consistency close to the same 11 each game.

The injuries have prevented him from doing that, he has had to adapt and change far too much for his liking so now that the injuries seem to be clearing up (think it's just Young, Smalling and Evans) I'd think that he would jump at the chance to start getting some consistency going with his team selections.

Also, if I were him I would play Carrick in the centre of defence, there is little point in playing Evans or Smalling there when they return because they will only get injured again.

The three of them can try to have at least one fit for that RCB position.

I didn't but cheers. It takes all sorts.
Personally I like LVG and think it's far to early to get rid. I'm happy with the players signed and hope we get the defenders we need.
Back to tonight I've got us down for 3-0 with Falcao to score first.

No doubt the BBC will have another boring VT of Luke Chadwick to share with us before kick off. Seriously that guy has been caning publicity on tv during the build up to this game. If I hear him mention the fact that he'd rather play for Cambridge rather than United one more time I'm going to go mad, he wouldn't be saying that had he never of played for us.

For those who can't see twitter, Steve Bates saying it's this:

    De Gea/Valdes
    Jones Rojo Blind
    Valencia Carrick Fellaini Januzaj
    Di maria
    Wilson Falcao
Not bad that, though I think we could make it a lot better with a diamond (might be one anyways) and it would have everyone in a more familiar position.

    Valdes

    Carrick
    Fellaini Di Maria
    Januzaj

these games always sound like they'll be fun to watch but they're often boring. I hope we win by a good amount of goals tonight.

Very tasty XI indeed. Glad to see Rooney get a day off too. Been looking jaded.

I'm impressed that LVG has managed to sneak a 12th player into the lineup, but it's disappointing that he hasn't used the advantage in a more attacking position. Two keepers is less useful than an extra striker/midfielder.

 amen. Its been doing my nut in. Its been such a dream to play for Cambridge that he played for just 8 clubs before joining them.

there's a fair chance we'll see that second lineup when if it is goalless after 60 mins

great to see Adnan get a start - hope he plays well

Januzaj at wingback is not a good fit and I thought the captain always started? Kinda surprised we didn't take the chance to rest Carrick, he's looked tired since the rush of Christmas games.

I really hope that's our line up and it's also in the diamond. If it's 3 at the back I'm not even going to bother watching it.
