It really is crazy to think...

Shaw, Varane, Licha, AWB, Malacia, Maguire all out injured, the starting 4 and half of the backup!

Lindelof/Evans partnership at CB and it's only gameweek 6

A reminder that, since Sir Alex, we've spent over a billion on transfers. A billion.

Who is next on the injury bingo card? I mean, surely Martial has to be injured soon? We are already nearing October and he is still fit. How is that possible?
I gauge our seasons by international breaks where the injured can recover.

Wanting 'energy' in midfield after selling our most energetic midfielder by far in the summer.

It really is daft the more and more you look at it. Not saying it's the main fault over why we're playing so meh, but it's certainly not helping.

Good team that on balance and chemistry. Looking forward to see two strikers getting behind. Bruno will have a stormer with this setup.

Not as confident now as I was this morning after seeing the line up. Hope we smash these. They’ll play an open game this time which could go in our favour instead of the long ball we use to see. 3-1 to us. Hojlund to score first!

Low bar but I just hope we can scrape a win somehow we really are down to the bare bones.

ETH deserves the media murdering if they lose or draw for picking McT after his recent jogging efforts.

Hopefully this lineup is some tactical genius shenanigans to bamboozle Burnley. Might give them false hope.

Whilst constantly interchanging managers that brought players in they thought would fit their system and getting rid of most bought under the previous regimes (for next to nothing). Disastrous planning and a result of not having a proper DoF. We are burning money.

If we lose I’m looking forward to the ignorant comments about it being ETH fault with his entire back 4 out.
If we lose because of the diamond and his refusal to change the system when its not working, I will blame him like I did against Brighton. After 15mins into that game, Brighton clearly adapted to our game plan and were then comfortable throughout. I hope its not a repeat of that again.

Thank feck Eriksen's is not in the XI and Amrabat and Varane are on the bench. Worried about Evans but hopefully he doesn't get too exposed tonight. Decent options off the bench so not too worried at this stage.

Gone round to my mates just round corner from Turf Moor and United fans are in good voice.

We had Evans Maguire on game week 4!

So many thought we didn’t need Evans or Reguilon and look where we’re at already a few weeks in.

Fingers crossed Evans can keep up and play well.

Oh boy, Evans starting. I'm kind of terrified to watch this.

This is why some of us are embroiled in a never-ending debate about style of play vs ‘moments’. Looking at that team, I’m sure most can honestly admit that they fancy our chances of a result solely because there are a couple of players who might, at some point ‘do something’ to get us the goal(s) to get us the points, and Burnley do not have them. But nobody can surely have much confidence in this team actually playing good dominant football and not letting Burnley look like out equals for the most part.

Got nothing to do with the defense. If Casemiro and McTominay jog around as usual then it doesn't matter who's at CB. Defense needs protection and those two haven't been up to it.

If Burnley turn up and actually put effort in they'll create chances tonight.

Yup, and add to that; fourteen years, one month and four days since we last lost to Burnley at Turf Moor, we start tonight, once again, with Jonny Evans at Centre Back.
