This transfer was so bemusing to me.
He was signed because the manager wanted to sell Maguire but wasn't guaranteed a replacement.
This transfer was so bemusing to me.
I joked about this when we were linked to Cucurella but this defence is even worseCan you imagine us having to field Cucurella - Maguire - Lindelof - Dalot in the same game?
Better than Casemiro or McTominay at CB, something we've have experienced as well.He is 5th choice though, not sure what people expect at the moment.
He shouldn't even be a choice, period. He is 5th choice though, not sure what people expect at the moment.
Yeah, we should top class defenders who are happy being 5th choice coming on since all those well run clubs have 5 top class CBs on their books as wellSo this is what a billion gets you.
Yes. Suffered some kind of injury against Arsenal it seems and they felt that they didn't want to aggravate it further.
Have you seen the recent results of our academy teams?
Was just wondering that, he played there for Scotland for a bit didn't he?Wondering, could it be a back 3 with McTominay as the 3rd CB?
Sure. But I am sure he wasn't the only one backup available. He was signed because the manager wanted to sell Maguire but wasn't guaranteed a replacement.
Yep bemusing at that time and still is. I assumed he will be with us only for preseason and once he is fit he will find a new club and leave. Says everything about our current situation that no other club were willing to take him and he now ended up starting for us.This transfer was so bemusing to me.
Can't believe McT is starting this match.
Well yes, but it’s sad that we haven’t got a youngster who’s worth giving a go.Yeah, we should top class defenders who are happy being 5th choice coming on since all those well run clubs have 5 top class CBs on their books as well
Whoever our 5th CB could be, there ain't no way it should be Johnny Evans and I say this even if he has a fantastic game todayYeah, we should top class defenders who are happy being 5th choice coming on since all those well run clubs have 5 top class CBs on their books as well
It's only a big squad when they are all fit, it is a miniscule squad atm.One of the richest clubs with the biggest squad relying on a 35 year old
ETH looks totally out of his depth if he starts Evans and McTominay. It’s unbelievable.
Eriksen tired. Amrabat not ready and mount and mainoo out. Our 7th and 8th choice midfielders are starting today. It happens.
No, this is what tons of injuries get you.So this is what a billion gets you.
Am not sure I trust him there.... injuries really fecking us hereI am very unsure about Evans in central defence. He is a smart and experienced player, but also very, very slow by now.
I would prefer McTominay in defense and Eriksen in midfield. Precisely against a team like Burnley, Eriksen will also be able to play well, as they will defend compactly, and he can make some chance-creating passes
Twitter rumours that he played through injury. I wouldn't pay it much attention. Let's see what ETH says about him. Hopefully he isn't out for too long.Played against Bayern though? And Arsenal was about 3 weeks ago?
The defence is shit, but who else other than City could put out a better selection than that with six defenders injured/not ready to start, including the entire first choice back four?
Yeah he didWas just wondering that, he played there for Scotland for a bit didn't he?
Unbelievable that we are missing 100% of our back four, and Maguire and Malacia.
Really hope Mejbri and McTominay run themselves to the ground.
A Burnley victory would not be a huge surprise. This is a weak United team.
