Looking forward to to the 83rd min
Hey if that gets them a bit more match fitness to start games sooner than expected, I’m all for it.

The way I see it, we must be in damage control mode right now and allow our injured players to come back without risking further injuries

Seems our manager is determined to find a way to make what should be a certain winnable match into something a bit more competitive. Varane HAS to start if he’s fit enough to play. And in 2023 Scott McTominay is still starting football matches for Manchester United, which is a leveller in itself as it guarantees at least one Burnley level midfielder in our team.

Why is Mctominay starting? Why do players get reward for playing shit?

Johnny fecking evans. I love the guy but come on, it’s 2023.

Had to double take at Donny at the bench. I thought he was on loan.

I would have played a youngster from the u23s instead of Johnny. Willy or someone else, cant be worse than grandpa Evans.

How McTominay keeps getting starts needs investigating. One of the laziest and technically poor players I have ever saw play for the club.

One of those lineups we will see years from now and not believe we fielded it in a serious game.

Really glad Eriksen has been dropped, he’s an absolute liability.

Hopefully Amrabat gets up to speed fast so we don’t have to witness McTominay’s invisible act again after tonight.

There isn't a defender anywhere near ready in the youth teams at the moment.

Surely we should have kept Mengi around a bit longer. I know we have unexpected injuries but he has to be a better option than Evans.

Happy Hannibal gets a start, but that defence is going to get picked apart. At the same time, I don’t see what the manager can do about it today, I can only think that Varane will come on after the hour mark.

Wow, the injuries keep screwing us up. But still, how we can spend such ridiculous amounts of money and still not have more to show is hard to fathom.

Good to see us sticking with diamond, I love that formation! Good lineup too. Easy win.

The defence is shit, but who else other than City could put out a better selection than that with six defenders injured/not ready to start, including the entire first choice back four?
