Getting first to ball is now a foul.

If it was against United, Rulebook would have been follwed. And United player would have been sent off. It's amazing how refrees bottle decisions. He just knew he had to give red so took the easy option out.

He didn't. He said the foul was soft.

it was. Is it really climbing when you duck and lean forward as someone behind you jumps? I always thought climbing was hand on the shoulders to stop them jumping

Bruno is so dangerously close to getting second one. We definitely need to score and get him off

What's funny about the game is Burnley keep going down and getting decisions, yet are really aggressive, so when we go as hard as they do, we are getting called for fouls. Maguire's goal should have stood. Even the injury time was poorly officiated. We need to really punish them when we are in possession. One of our wingers need to drop deeper. We are taking too long to craft chances.

That Maguire goal is a joke of a decision, great header, perfectly placed. Defender doesn't even bother jumping, of course Maguire is going to come down on top of him.

We will come out strong I’m sure. Don’t play into Burnley’s hands with all the petulant shit. They want to frustrate us...don’t let it happen.

Shaw’s was a foul tbf getting the ball or not but the Maguire goal should have stood nothing in that

I think in the end the decision on Shaw was probably about right..... but the thing is... they weren't going to give it.

The last thing they watched on the pitch side monitor (twice) was the Cavani foul.... which was a clear red. They knew it was gonna cause uproar with the Burnley squad if they sent him off... so on balance they gave the foul on Shaw.

But balance shouldnt come into it... its either a foul or it isnt... and if it was (which it was for me).... why the hell did they then go on to watch Cavani incident again...

You cant give one decision just because you don't want to give another!

Dyche better be saying the game's gone again in his post match interview for that pathetic decision to disallow the Maguire goal.

This game has been very disruptive which hasn't helped it get into any rythm. Saw signs of doing it toward the end.

One thing we shouldn't allow is let Burnley score first otherwise we'd be fecked. This means abound to give silly fouls. Was annoyed at AWB giving Burnley a silky foul when we should be trying not to gift them their most likely way to score aka set pieces and long balls.

They've both been pretty poor today. It's not a game that suits their strengths.

But Rashford has without doubt had way more good moments than Martial this season to date.
Both are pretty poor a lot this season and yes if I had to pick one it would be Rashford. As I said he has decent stats this season but his overall play has been poor a lot this season

You can't even analyse the game because of this incompetence or if this is done with purpose. If I was manager I would surley be sent off for saying to refeere some nice chosen words. I hope that Solskjaer, whatever the score is at the end of the game, gives a interview that is what we all think.

I think the Shaw/Brady they just got it right in the end. If they hadn't pulled it back I think Brady would be off.

As for the goal, that would be a trademark Burnley goal most weeks.

Problem with VAR is that they cancel decisions which are obviously wrong. If ref allowed goal, goal would stand after VAR check. Crazy stuff, isn't it? Ref fecked us there, not VAR
Probably. Part of me also thinks Maguire's been penalised because he's a bit bigger too. If Greenwood does something like that do they pull it back?

They are such a terrible football team, I think we've got this just keep chipping away

Even bloody Redknapp said it was a goal. That's saying something or hes taking the piss.

He didn't have to give a red though.

That’s what pisses me off the most. Pogba got flattened and then 1 minute later matic does the same type of foul and he blows it immediately.

it genuinely feels like friend is out there to stop us at any chance possible.

I wish there was a stat that measured the 2nd ball attempt/won rate. We'd surely be quite low on that table. I'm watching the 2nd ball loose on the edge of Burnley's box and Shaw flat-footed, stood completely still and a Burnley player no closer to the ball somehow get to it before Shaw even shifts his body. This is prevalent throughout the team. We have one or two guys that will chase a 2nd ball but the rest don't apply the supporting pressure.

Give Martial 10 minutes, if he doesn't improve put Fred in, move Pogba further up and use the possession. We will still have Greenwood on the bench if needed later.
