9/11 pretty pissed of with myself , I had Mata and Young in and for some reason took them out !! Put in Herrera and Shaw in instead.
Because it was what made sense. There's only the chance you (and me) were right and Mourinho wrong.;)

Shaw in good form....gets praised by the manager (even calls him best LB in the league) then suddenly dropped once Young is back. Fecking stupid
Looking back at it, those very very unusual compliments from Mourinho were a clear indication he was going to drop him.

Very surprised at the lack of Herrera. Bold call going for that midfield.

I know shocked we are not starting our poorest performer of the season.Still least it wasnt another moan about Shaw

I am hoping for an easy win. Burnley seem to open their legs like there is no tomorrow against other teams, but when it comes to Utd, they play like Barcelona.

I had Shaw, but from what I read he was dropped in favor of Young. Don't know what to make of this. Maybe there is something we don't know, so I will wait to hear more about it.

I predicted 1-3 score, pissed off that Sanchez not eligible to play, not even as a sub, scoring the winning goal. That would be awesome.

Herrera was decisive in the turnaround away performance against Everton, with all that slick passing, so…

Maybe he wants to assure people that him being dropped today doesn't necessarily mean that Young is always gonna start ahead of him. Only that he chose Young because of tactical reasons against this specific opponent. I can imagine, after dropping him, people saying how he doesn't trust young talent had he not mentioned how much he rates Shaw.

Not sure about Mata in team, would’ve preferred Fellaini as Burnley are going to get a lot of joy with aerial balls (our defenders seem to hate jumping up to head the ball!) but good option to come on later when we need to keep possession.

I am also worried about the line up and hope that Mata proves me wrong. I would have gone with either Herrera or Fellaini in midfield and let Pogba move forward

Wanted Shaw to stay in the team just for continuity sakes. Thats how you build understanding and cohession

    Our bench doesn’t look brilliant.

Not so bad either. Herrera or Fellaini if we want to change it into 4-3-3, good defensive options, and Rashford who is not in form, but still an excellent option from the bench for the last 20-30 minutes.

This Fellaini thing is fecking lunacy now.

We're away at Burnley, who don't concede goals, and some people think that a three man midfield with Fellaini in place of Mata will help us in our search of goals.

Jesus. For some, the bloke has turned into some sort of superstar as a product of a few good games in September. Narratives, ay...

fecking stupid that he starts Young who was arguably one of our best players against Burnley 2 weeks ago and got an assist against them.

If this is the reaction that's been given after he got that praise from Mourinho, can't imagine what would have been said here if Mourinho didn't say anything about Shaw and dropped him.

Shaw has been in a very good form recently. but if we're talking form-wise then Young was our best LB this season and delivered in a lot of games.

I said earlier both should be rotated to keep them fresh. Having a strong competition in Young for Shaw will force him to keep improving and understand it's not that easy.

At the moment Young is our main LB and Shaw is his replacement.

More like defending set pieces, something we're pretty shit at and Burnley are good at.

Very good line up. It shows that we are there to win the game. Why should we be setting up to counter Burnley? Burnley should be adapting to us. Young over Shaw is good because rotation is important and it keeps both players on their toes.

We need Sanchez desperately. Only one attacker on the bench.

I think it's more that it would allow Pogba to play further forward to unlock the Burnley Defence.

Why are we having a match while Sanchez is about to be signed?

His critics are ten times more laughable. He has been good for seasons now.. "few good games in September". Narratives indeed.

Shaw has been good in all his recent games and is finally getting a run together just to be dropped it’s a daft decision.

We scraped a last minute goal and the lot of them were shocking against Burnley, it’s really not a game to be praising Young.
