Half-time
Move on? Some fans are so fecking rude for no sake. Good on you if you are happy with your 2 game sample size.Nothing to do with setting the bar low. We havent got Scholes and Keane in our midfield anywmore. Move on!
Based on what ive seen this season, he was ok against Arsenal and Newcastle. Nothing special but ok.
Lets hope that's what they do at 3-0. The record is 6-0 in the cup final and that is definitely under threat next week.City will trash this team 3 or 4 -0 and they will keep possession once they hit 3 within 70 mins.
ExactlyAll season everyone talks about a massive squad clearout, and then when the season comes to an end they start making the case for keeping all the players they previously wanted gone as a "squad option". You see it in the Amrabat thread, the McT thread, AWB, Maguire, etc.
More insightful than yours which was based on nothing. All the stats show they've not played well. They're 16th in the league for xg during that timeInsightful comment
Well that was an uninspiring first half
Exactly. It’s incredibly disappointing. I thought that EtH was the one.I know, and I wasn't sold on ETH last season. But, I did expect an improvement. To finish in this league position with this level of performance is appalling. We've been played off the park too many times this season. Can't actually remember that many performances where we were the better team.
Gutted.
if you have the right players, yes but not for DalotThe point is it's absolutely worse if you don't invert. There's no discussion. It's current tactical meta for a reason.
We need to make a 3-2 in possession. You can take your pick of five players to make that from. The most common / the most flexible way to beat a press is to make it with the inverted fullback.
Brighton are a boring team and manage to bring the worst out of us.
Absolute shocking first half
For all those fawning over De Zerbi...they've had a pretty terrible few months.
For me Brighton play like City-lite without the quality. They've had all of the ball for the half and really, only created one or two chances, largely from deflections from our tackles.
And that's with us randomly carriyng McTominay up front.
Yep under the radar £10m up in smoke.Amrabat is spectacularly poor. We paid 10M for that. You could fire Erik for cause based on that alone.
Last season we ran City very close in the final. We’re a much much worse team this year so our chances are not good.Considering we're playing City-Lite, this really bodes well for next weekend
