Let’s get it boys. Domestic cup double still on!

    Whats the cup final date?

As in regards to Shittys semifinals CL?
    June 3rd.

I have few questions myself - is Malacia fit again and should we expect him to start or Dalot at LB? And other than Ferguson, do Brighton have some other important players that'll be missing.

I do fear that our very own Welbeck will score against us. Felt bad when he did for Arsenal back in LvG era.

    Shit. That's too late.

Could be CL and Prem winners by then.

    FA could be the treble.

Well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Just win today. Don't care how ugly.

I think we'll win tomorrow because nobody expects us too,, media don't, some fans don't, similar to when Liverpool came to Old Trafford when we were destroyed by Brentford and we turned them over

This is still my feeling, just. ETH and his coaching staff are v astute, are aware of our limitations, but also will prepare us well.

If our front three just work hard, I think we will be OK.

But this is a tough game. But we can win this.

We'll beat City in the final if we get there. I am far more confident playing City in the final than this game.

CL final will actually be played on 10th June so FA Cup win would make it a double for them at that point.

If Maguire plays we've lost. I also would worry what exactly EtH is thinking. I mean, pop anyone else there, even Antony couldn't be any worse. He'd at least be able to turn around with the ball and keep track of where it actually is.

Some people do make it sound like we are playing prime Barcelona in here.

They are very beatable! I mean sure, Spurs rode their luck but, c'mon they lost to bloody Spurs!

feck me you bunch of tarts, were is your fight! It's a cup semi, it's exciting, come on utd!

I thought the CL always ended the season for all clubs but maybe changed then.

So Bruno, Eriksen and Casemiro are yet to lose a match when they have started together, albeit a draw isn’t necessarily enough to get to the final…

    He’s suspended.

We'll need Casemiro and Eriksen to actually move faster than snails to win this.

Midfield configuration will be key. Bruno and Casemiro are guaranteed but the third spot I feel is up for grabs as Eriksen might be a defensive liability against a high energy Brighton side. Sabitzer or Fred might get the nod over him.

@UTAretro Yeah, apologies for snapping like that

It's not ABU hysteria, they have been hard done by VAR this season. The latest example was at the Tottenham Stadium when the officials basically handed Spurs the victory. I guess this one is still fresh, thus the posts.
What are you talking about? Brighton have consistently been fecked over by VAR this season. Think they've had 3 official PGMOL apologies
Everyone gets decisions against them though and the recent PGMOL apologies only means they've accepted responsibility for those incidents. United have just as much chance to get shafted today, maybe even more so considering how officials 'appear' to to try and make amends for high profile cases.

Bruno/Case/Eriksen and no Maguire in the back.. we might have a chance

We should give it a go, we could have a decent 11 by June 6th and we've beaten City a few times. We have no Europa.

I'm going into this hoping for a win or the best team wins. If we're not up to scratch still then well done to Brighton, not sure what to expect today. I thought we'd get nothing at Sevilla, the players let it go at OT and gave up. We'll have to see if the players can refocus on the FA Cup, Brighton have a good chance, we have Bruno back.

Sancho wouldn't give my local Sunday leauge team a problem in his current form. Stick or twist with him from ETH I feel. Either he plays himself back into form which, I do t think he ever has with us or he dosent start
I must be blind typing Sancho, I meant Antony. What was I thinking of?

Just read how Brighton are favourites to win (sky sports) suits me. I love an underdog. feck me they aint that good, 8th in the league, won 3 of their last 6 with a loss and 2 draws.

so whose fit to play? Martial - Shaw ? both got knocks on thursday. I expect shaw to partner lindelof , I expect martial to be in the sick bay for 4 weeks But he may shock us And its only 3 weeks.

If we turn up we will win. Its just IF.

Brighton will run circles around them if EtH doesn`t play a blinder with the setup somehow. And Casemiro back to his very best wouldn`t hurt either.

Shaw didn`t even look close to 100% on thursday night. Feels like there could be one or two surprises in the lineup today. Maybe Casemiro at CB and Fred and Bruno in midfield?

Missing todays game which might probably be a good thing as I just have a horrible feeling they are going to turn us over today. Hoping that ain’t the case though and the team gives us supporters something back after the Sevilla humiliation on Thursday night. It’s the very least they could do. Having Bruno back is a gigantic plus because feck knows where we would be without him. You just need to rewatch that Sevilla game on Thursday night to see why. I don’t know which players have made the trip to London as ETH didn’t state any team news in his press conference so just taking a punt as to what it predictably might be. Having said that, won’t be shocked if he makes some big surprises but I’ll just stick to the most likely predictable lineup.

    De Gea

    Wan-Bissaka - Lindelof - Shaw - Malacia

    Eriksen- Casemiro - B.Fernandes

    Antony - Martial - Rashford

Butland, Dalot, Jurado, Iqbal, Mainoo, Sabitzer, Pellistri, Sancho, Weghorst
    Brighton 3-2 Manchester United

We are not losing a cup SF to Brighton. Occasion will get to them imo. 2-1

“It’s only Brighton”. More comments like this please! The mighty Manchester United are huge favourites in my eyes. Brighton have never won anything of note - ever - but your team have already won one competition so far this season. Let alone in your 130 odd years of existence.

Enjoy your day if you’re going.

I just want fair VAR calls. You know it’s going to happen.
That’s one thing you won’t have to worry about. We have been fecked by refs this year.

I'm hopeful ETH will set us up a bit more defensive, more energy.

Worried about our central defense. Will have to be Lindelof and Shaw right? Not the most encouraging.

Hopefully Martial is fit. And Shaw.

It's hard to feel too confident at the moment. But ultimately we do have the quality to win this game if they turn up. Bruno back is key.

Some people do make it sound like we are playing prime Barcelona in here.

Exactly this. I can't say I feel too confident because it's hard to get over the way we just capitulate when the going gets tough - but while Brighton are really impressive on their day they've spent the entire season floating between 6th - 8th place. They're being hyped up in here as if they're some unbeatable giant that we may as well not even show up to play against.

If we play to our capabilities we should win the game. If we don't, we probably won't. But come on folks, bit of perspective here.

Some are on every forum, some are needlessly arrogant and ignorant of other teams outside of their own. Football lovers who are also fans of a club are the ones to listen to for genuine insight. And no this isn’t a masturbatory post, I value quality insight. @Adnan is a superb poster here, for instance
A lot of fans here are going to be in for a shock when Brighton dominate the game today. I’ve seen so many posts with over confidence and exuberance just because it’s the name Brighton. The only factor is going to be whether Brighton can take their chances as always. I expect them to be all over our midfield today.

Some people do make it sound like we are playing prime Barcelona in here.

    They are very beatable!
I mean sure, Spurs rode their luck but, c'mon they lost to bloody Spurs!
We don’t need to play prime Barcelona to lose. That’s kind of the point. We can lose to a team 13th in La Liga. Brighton are significantly better than Sevilla who we failed to beat in 2 games.

They are beatable yes. But we are arguably more beatable than they are at the moment. Especially with our decimated defence.

At Old trafford I’d always fancy us. Anywhere else, you can flip a coin and hope for the best
