We're talking about Ashley Young ffs.

He's one of the most average attackers I've seen at United and he's 30 years old. Yes, well done him, he managed to keep a player who didn't want to be here, wasn't trying and was unable to pass the ball two yards to a team-mate out of the side. Di Maria was so bad by the end I reckon you or I might have had a chance in doing that.

I'd much rather give Memphis a chance who is the future than stick with Young.

Please do name these top class players that are keeping the average Ashley Young out of the side.

Tbh, I don't even mind Memphis being given a chance. But to say what you did about his contract, him being here to make up the numbers and not being upto the standard is absolute nonsense. He has proved himself to be better than some of the fancier names we have in attack. Whether he's 30 or 21, whether he's Ashley Young or Youngdinho is immaterial in the present or when it comes to how he has been over the past year.

Excited about the line up. The first team haven't been up to much so not sure why the panic on here. He has seen these youth players plenty so must believe they're capable.

Think we will see a display with a lot more energy and movement with the kids involved.

Should have gone with 3 in the middle with Schneiderlin to give extra protection to the back 4.

    Gonna be a difficult game.

Got a new 50 inch tv. Hopefully United will make it worth it.
The last time i bought the TV was when we moved to where we live now and i bought it to watch CL semi final against Schalke. It was totally worth it.

What are the odds like at the bookies? Are we even favourites after the lineups were released?

Fingers crossed the young defenders show the same maturity as they did the other night. The two young full backs were the only positive from the Wolfsberg game.

Big day for Depay for me.

I can't digest the fact that we have put that defence out for a premier league game when we're challenging for the title.

Also, as our best attacker, the amount of pressure a 20-year old Martial is facing is crazy.

Anyone really looking forward to this game ?

    No, not at all.

In the past ten years, I have watched every match bar about five per season. I am going to give this 15 minutes, and if it is as I expect, I will be turning it off, going to the gym and enjoying my Saturday.

I don't quite understand the "not United quality" argument that is thrown around, especially during a frame of time when we don't have anyone better. I'm speaking about Young, specifically, but the same also goes for Hernandez, who had the same criticism thrown at him, despite us now having barely any centre forwards.

so, Young shouldn't play, because he's not United quality, but nobody is really outperforming him right now, dating right back to the start of last season. Do we just field 10 men, to prove a point to Young that he's not good enough?

Worried after seeing the line up. It's really hitting home how severe those injuries are hitting us now. :(
