    Yup. Young is shite but Dalot is even worse defensively judging by results this season. Either of them up against Messi was only going to go one way.

    This is turning out to be a massive disappointing season in the league and the end of season looks like to be end with us completely out of form as can be seen lately. I do not believe in the team nor the club anymore as ineptness rules this club from top to bottom.
     
    We started off so positively which makes it extra sickening we find ourselves in this position at half time. Can't make mistakes like the ones we made at this level. Will get punished the vast majority of the time. Especially when you're talking about Messi here. You could just see Young playing us into trouble with that free kick like that.
     
    If Young is still starting games for us next season then we're in trouble. Should be phased out like we've done with Valencia during Pre Season. Not even remotely close to the standard required at this level. I'm fuming.
     
    Liverpool would have scored about 3 against this barca team in that half, THAT is the devastatingly upsetting gulf between us and the scousers right now, it isnt even a good barca side.
    How in hell do we put this right ? It's so depressing

    What a sorry attempt at shot. He didn't know what to do, he just shat his pants and ended up toe poking it. Even the toe poke was without any kind intent. I used to rate Rashford and quite frankly I was blinkered by him but I have to admit now, I got it horrifically wrong -- he's garbage.

    Id have actually had more faith in Dalot than Young though. Young is piss poor.
     
    One positive tonight. That first 10 mins is clearly how Ole wants the team to play. Brave, attacking, forward passes. Players wanting the ball and confident on it. Pressing and winning the ball back. If by some miracle we manage to get the right players in this summer we should be good to watch next season. In the europa league.

    I would take Willian. Far more effective than Martial.

    Yeah I agree it's on Young, but I mean Fred knows it's Messi... Why is he committing himself like that? Should at least make Messi work to get past him.

    Messi turned Jones inside out, but Jones at least made a decent effort whilst getting mugged off
     
    On the plus side, we won't have to pay Monaco any more money for Martial.
     
    Rashford has done okay, the only one in attack who looks dangerous. The other two are non existent. Fred is the only one in CM it seems. Pogba and McTominay are not doing enough. Young is a calamity, and DDG can feck off. He has been making some stupid mistakes recently.
     
    Think the elephant in the room is not our defence it's that we cannot play through their press. That is the biggest issue we have witnessed at this club, and that's a coaching influence. Blame the players to some degree but even Ole conceded that we have alot of quality in the squad so it's his responsibility just as much

    Think that sums up United at the moment.. out of a squad of 18 only 7 are United class and that includes ,, possible improvements for the future.

    We are miles behind livershite , citea, Spurs.. unless we have a c9mplete clear out and buy gizzilions we are in for a long 5 to 6 years watching others battle for silverware
     
    BT pundits putting the blame on Fred for their goals, feck off Rio in particular always biased towards De Gea and obviously the English players
     
    A couple of months ago, most people would give their bollock to be in this position in the second round of quarters with a goal sepersting the teams.

    Most of the better prospects have been snapped up whilst we’re still offering contracts to squad players

    You are more than likely right. But my point would be that Young has been so poor, continuing to play him is an indictment on Ole. Not too dissimilar to him playing Lingard and Marital but options there are worse.
