So we are a club capable of reaching the quarters and spend millions. Wish I supported Accrington now.

    Travesty.
    What?

The amount of money we spend isn't likely going to solve our issues - as proven from the last 6 years.

We had a very bright start only to completely cancel that by two incredibly stupid errors. The tie is over, it’s just about not getting embarrassed with a 5-0 score line.

I don’t think this Barcelona team should fancy themselves against Liverpool. If they give them the sort of chances we had in the first 10 minutes the tie is done in the first leg.

One positive tonight. That first 10 mins is clearly how Ole wants the team to play. Brave, attacking, forward passes. Players wanting the ball and confident on it. Pressing and winning the ball back. If by some miracle we manage to get the right players in this summer we should be good to watch next season. In the europa league.
He really needs to sort out this mentality in the squad though. Soon as we conceded our heads just fecking dropped. Same as the Wolves PL game. Can't believe how gutless and cowardly our players are.

If it was 10mins each way we’d be brilliant

While that’s true, messi has made better players than Fred look a mug. It’s more on young dithering and the defence not pushing out to block the shot imo.

Think it is on Young really. Although Messi does thing so well. When he gets space and time on the ball he is just so good.

Trade Messi for one of our attackers and I think we would be ahead no doubt and probably win it.

It’s alright guys we have a £90m striker on the bench and a player earning £500k a week. Surely they can turn things around?

Every player he hated you always come on here sticking the boot in.

Unless he hated every player, I'm not sure what you mean?
I'm very critical of them all.

And perhaps it says more about posters on here, overrating the likes of Pogba, Martial, Lingard etc that it's more noticeable when someone says, "Well actually no, they're not world class" and offer a more balanced view on things?

I mean, it probably was all Mourinho's fault and the players are all still on medication to get rid of the virus in their systems.

Or, it could be that they're just overrated and shite in some cases and Woodward decided to go with the whole media narrative of "It's Ole's" when things were going well, instead of waiting until the end of the season and actually doing some research on candidates....Phelan isn't even going to stay apparently

What people believe ain't up to me or my business

Am i a cnut (more of a cnut) if i watch the second half of the Juve game?

Mate, I turned off after the second goal. We watch football to be entertained and happy. Do what extends your life, not what's shortening it (agitation).

Please can we just somehow just score one goal. Just something to celebrate.

It would far exceed Turin: 2-2 would have been enough there and we were already level at half-time.
There is no one in this team fit to clean the boots of Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Dwight Yorke, David Beckham et al.
    Sadly.
Playing donkeys like Ashley Young out of position is dodgey enough in the prem. It’s suicidal in Camp Nou.

That early chance for Rashford , if that was RVN or RVP that goes in. As soon as Rashford got it you knew he’d feck up.
Remember RVP bunging a couple of chances against Real Madrid in Fergie's last season.

It's in-form Barca with in-form Messi. Don't be so harsh on your players, they do that to other teams.
It really isn’t in-form Barça and I’m more disgusted about our mistakes - caused by their pressing, but they’re hardly the only team that would jump to Young when he’s on the ball - than the fact we’re losing to Barça at Camp Nou.

Dalot may be a little green but he has a bigger brain than that bird sized walnut that Young has. In fact, any defender with a fecking noggin would have known to clear their lines when Barcelona are bearing down on you. Seriously, swallowing that birdshit has given him shit for brains.

We need to change this up right now. Non of this Solskjær bullshit of waiting until 60 minutes before making a substitution.

I’d rather we lost 4-0 going for it than go out 2-0 on a whimper

I get your point about Young being defensively more reliable but I would rather sacrifice some defense for proper football with Dalot and if that's not an option I would play a defender at FB like Jones/Lindelof. At least their defending would be more reliable.

My point is his reliability is an illusion considering how badly he has been playing.

Jones/Lindelof? Well, they would certainly be better defensively but their contribution to our attack would be non-existent. Young is at least capable of providing an outlet on that right-flank.

I don't like Young any more than you do, believe me, but we're stuck with him for the time being. He will be replaced in the summer, it's just a matter of time.

Agree but at least he offers something . Our other 3 attacking players have done so little
Whilst Rashford on one side of the coin has had the arguable benefit of playing under different managers in different positions...on the other side has not played within a consistent strategy in the same position whereby he could have learnt more nuances to a particular role, thus leaving us at this point with a much better Rashford, CF.

Unfortunately he's still all over the show with what to do in certain areas and it's hurting his development.

Not taking too much from this...other than I think it's quite possible that if Klopp or Pep were taking over this squad that not 1 player on the field for us tonight would be starting for them 2 seasons down the road. It would be a 100% clear out, with some remaining as squad players.

Let's see how quickly Ole makes his moves.

Pogba is better for France than Messi is for Argentina. Club level..nope.

Pogba is frustrated that people around him cant match his quality. If only Pogba could match his own quality with his workrate.

That’s what I’m saying. When the going gets tough he needs to work a lot harder. Not every game is won by beautiful football... well unless you have Messi in your side.

Now all we need is a team that can play like the first 10 mins for 90 mins, week in, week out.

Pressing and winning the ball back. If by some miracle we manage to get the right players in this summer we should be good to watch next season. In the europa league.

The thing is; does anyone think that Barca have the quality to beat Liverpool over 2 games?

    I’m not confident

I mean he did try clear it, he just did a shit job
