85th minute - GOAL!! Fred's in and Manchester United is through! 1-2!

Pogba blocked Messi's shot with his back and the ball fell into Lukaku who (again) missed his first touch and kicked the ball wide instead. Rashford sprinted towards the ball and nutmegged Pique who was the last defender. He only had the keeper to beat, decided to went around Stegen but hit the post. Fred was around the box. He'd jumped prematurely because He thought it was in.. It wasn't and the ball bounced into him. His feet landed on the ball but due to his impressive Brazilian acrobatics He managed to roll the ball with his feet into the net, along with him. In the studio Stevie G was livid during this whole process and started adding curse words after his trademark "eyehh 'course"s because He thought it's inhuman.

Playing as the underdogs suits our current squad well. I hope for/ expect a good performance but see us eventually lacking quality to see it through.

Will be happy to see us dominate for 15 minutes each half, and score at least one goal

We have to win at the nou camp. Spirited draw not enough. With that said I would take the ugliest scrappiest game of season with any type of draw on 80 mins

We need to start a lot better than we did at Old Trafford. They're much better than us, everyone knows that, but so are PSG and we beat them.

Their defence can be got at. If we press well, and don't let them settle, then we have a chance.

Expect a dreadful performance tonight, making people ask "is this Jose?" and "why didn't we wait til the end of the season with Ole?". Kind of like the West Ham match. Same score too, 2-1 for United, "didn't deserve it but got the result, now we focus on Everton". Easy.

We needed two goals at home to stand a chance, even 4 wasn't enough for PSG two years ago.

We have to win here 2-0 or 2-1. A 2-1 win is possible if we can seize on a few mistakes and they have bad night in front of goal plus a few top draw De Gea saves. We can be resilient at times and snatch goals from nothing but I'm going into this quite calmly expecting us to be knocked out and then concentrate on the Premier League run-in.

We'll lose convincingly resulting in another big crisis and 5 new threads questioning Ole appointment. Also we won't be back in CL for further 3, 4 years.

As long as Rashford and Lukaku don't start as our strike partners, I'll be happy.

Where's the ticket collection point please? I received a message to make sure I collect it ASAP but no mention where from.

I’m in Marbella for a bit. Do any of our Spanish lads know what channel this will be shown on in Spain?
Guess it'll be on Movistar, which is like the Spanish version of Sky. But you'll find it in any bar.

Hotel Center. Its near diagonal tube (on the green line, two stops from plaza Catalunya) .

Could be our last big CL night for a while, so I’m just going to try and enjoy it.

As usual though, it’s the hope that kills. If we’re definitely going out anyway I’d rather Messi just got it over with and put a couple past us early on. I don’t think I could handle a Porto 2004 style elimination.

If anyone in Barcelona a has any issues with language/travel etc, feel free to reach out. I live here so can happily advise. Hopefully see you all for a beer later!

We have quite a few possibilities for our line-up tonight. I think Ole will approach the game cautiously as conceding a goal changes practically nothing (just removes the chance of extra time and penalties) so he won't be in a rush. We will have to score two goals here if we want to get through. However, I think we will have to try and take the game to Barca as I don't see much of a need for them to go after us from the first whistle. Why would they? They know they can just keep the ball and stay tight, draw 0-0 or any score and still go through. They will be wary of our counter attack so why would they want to give us any encouragement? I think this will be why Ole looks at a tight midfield diamond or three at the back, but I'd rather us go for a 433 personally.

These are some potential line-ups I can see us going with:

    de Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Dalot
    Matic
    McTominay Fred
    Pogba
    Lukaku Rashford

    de Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Dalot
    McTominay
    Fred Pogba
    Lingard
    Lukaku Rashford

    de Gea
    Lindelof Smalling Darmian
    Young McTominay Fred Dalot
    Pogba
    Rashford Lukaku

I'm sure Sanchez, Martial, and Mata will be on the bench along with one of Matic or Lingard which gives us some pretty strong options. Young will start much to the annoyance of most of our fans, but I doubt he'll be as bad as the first leg. I'm hoping it's written in the stars for Sanchez to come on and score the winner. I can see Darmian (or possibly Jones) being used in the position Luke Shaw was in to help the back four and left winger/full back against Messi.

Heart says Barca 1-2 United, head says Barca win 2-1 or 3-1. I think we'll score and make a game of it and given how we've played in the last few weeks I'd probably take it and hope we can use it as encouragement for the run in.

Whether we deserve to win this game or not doesn't matter, just win it.

So apparently our win vs PSG is a fluke according to Verratti.
Not our effective tactic, not our midfield that challenge theirs well, not even us grabbing our chances clinically, not even them fluffing theirs, and not their defense having a shocking day.

 Well, I don't mind another "fluke" win vs Barca.

    Barca vs United
    0 - 1 = penalty?
    0 - 2 = win
    1 - 2 = win!

Basically we just need to lead the scoreline by 1+ for this game.
    Draw and we lose.

    Even if we lose 5-0?
To be fair, even if we get hammered I'm just pleased Solskjær has given me a moment to enjoy late Champions League competition again. If beating PSG was a mountain, this is Mt Everest. A pummelling would mean the out and out best won, no complaints.

Every bar in the land will have it on mate.. those for Barca and those against..

Guess it'll be on Movistar, which is like the Spanish version of Sky. But you'll find it in any bar.
Cheers lads. Is there any chance this’ll be on terrestrial tv? I’d happily stay in the house and take care my daughter so my wife can get some sort of evening out with her folks.

Excellent. Good to see we're learning. PSG at home, massive, ludicrous optimism in the pre-match thread. Result? A 2-0 hammering. PSG away, massive, ludicrous pessimism in the pre-match thread. Result? 3-1 victory. Just nipped in to have a peek at where we are this morning. Pleased to see doom and gloom abounds. At least we're doing our bit.

For those familiar with the town please... My hotel is just 500 yards from the stadium and I arrive Barcelona 4 hours to kick off. What's the most efficient route to take in ticket collection at Hotel Center, my hotel and stadium in time for kick off? Thanks!

    Aren’t you a ray of sunshine :p

Going to the fecking Nou camp and needing to win. If we somehow pull this off, I would say that our name is on the trophy this year. Here’s hoping.

For all those travelling from Manchester, if you have any questions about directions or landmarks or public trnasport, feel free to ask.

Reading this thread and others you will never have thought we're only one goal down. Talks of miracles and all that like we're some small club or something.. we literally have to score one goal to open the game and we did it in every single away match this season except Arsenal (missed lots of chance). I'm more worried about not taking our chances than getting a beatdown.

If we do this Ole has pulled some fairy dust out of his A-hole.. But thats how I felt going in v PSG, who knows?
I think Barca 2-0. We look seriously lacking in front of goal lately.

This is what I'm more worried of also. I think we will get 3-4 big opportunities in this game and that could be enough to win it if we are clinical. However, I expect Barcelona to match us if not better us by one goal again. They are better than us so it is most likely that they end up victorious.

They haven't lost at home in the Champions League for six years. Played 30, won 27, drew 3. Never conceded more than one goal during that run. That's what we're facing here. It would be an absolute miracle.

Juve and PSG had similar stats. Juve had lost 2 games at home in 9 years or something like that. No team had EVER overturned a 2-0 home defeat in the CL/European Cup either. So all these historical stats count for nothing in the end. Needing to overturn a 1 goal need is never a miracle, no matter who the opposition, all it takes is 1 mistake, 1 moment of magic.

I have got the entire week off from tomorrow. Tonight will be a party if we can somehow pull off the impossible. Please lads.:D

Sanchez back is good news. I am not saying he would be particularly effective as he has been worse than Lingard, but it is just one more attacking option for Ole to experiment with.

I just hope we don't go with a back 5 because whenever Ole plays that formation, we concede immediately. Better to stick with a back 4, hope McSauce repeats his performance from the previous game and pray that Ashley Young somehow resembles a footballer for 90(+) minutes.

Mentally I'm sealing myself in, going for a 3 to 5 nil loss. If we pull another PSG it'll be hilarious more than glorious.

Don't think so mate. I watched it at a friend's place and it was on Movistar. Doubt they've got it on terrestrial TV as well.
