    Most importantly the players must have no negative thoughts. If you cannot give your absolute maximum in the CL quarter finals when are you going to.

    3-0 aggregate scoreline would be respectable, given the difference in quality.

    Would be nice to at least get a shot on target tonight, though.

    Exactly that. Every game they play is one game nearer to their next defeat. Let's hope that tonight is that night.
     
    I see this going only two ways: our attack is pathetic again and Barcelona get a goal and coast the rest of the way for an easy 1-0 on the night. Or we show up, score a goal early and wake them up and lose 2-1 or 3-1 on the night. I can only see United going through if it’s like the away game against Juventus where we shock them with 2 late goals

    I really do too. I would love to see it that, even the end result doesn't suit us, the team can still get some much needed confidence from this to finish the season strongly.
     
    I don’t know, I actually feel we will nick a goal early due to a defensive mishap.

    I have no idea why, but I have a good feeling about tonight. Not saying that we will win but I do sense that we have a big game in us as long as we get a chunk of luck and the run of the ball.
     
    We have a 0.000001% chance of going through. So we can all relax and just enjoy the occasion. I'm really looking forward to it and hope we just give it our best shot. If we're as lucky as we were against West Ham, anything can happen.

    Juventus lost 1 game in 9 years before we played against them? We're not required to do something that never has done before. Hardly a miracle to me. They're very strong favorites that's all.

    I Second this and would rather see martual on furst and then lingard as a sub later. But suopose lingard puts mire of a shift in defensively than martial.

    I just can’t get up for this game mate. I will watch it and get behind the players but I just can’t handle another 90 minutes of Ashley Young hoofing it long to Lukaku.

    Hope we get through obviously but just can’t see anything other than a comfortable Barca win. :)
     
    We won against PSG without Pogba, so here's hoping that he'll do something special tonight. Play Pogba as the second striker, i remember how he won us the game against City, he has to be in the danger zone all the fecking time.

    I think our cbs are ok, but the fullbacks leave a lot to be desired for. Especially Dalot will be severly targeted by them.

    Fingers crossed we do them, but a lot depends on the line up. Lukaku was brillant against PSG, but Rashford gives us more fluidity. Very difficult call for Ole, but Martial has to be in it. We need goals! One of the best games in recent years coming up. :D
     
    We need every player to put in as close to a 10 outta 10 performance to give us a chance, and that means taking half chances. We need to be clinical. And we need to score first.

    Martial more often than not flatters to deceive though. I don’t get the admiration he gets around here, he’s going to be a very good player one day, maybe. But yeah, he’s usually giving the ball away because of a silly trick that he doesn’t pull off.

    Lingard has offered so little recently, I don't see much advantage in playing him today.

    Pogba in behind those 3 gives us such attacking strength, I think he has been played too deep recently, he needs to get forward more, like he was in December/January.
     
    Be very depressed if i see Young and Lingard both starting the game later. Young is obviously a given to start.

    If i were ole i’d go with a narrow diamond of mctominay, fred, pogba and pereira with rash and lukaku/martial up front. Similar set up to the spurs game. Could also play rom rash and martial if we really want to go hell for leather.

    Lingard and Rom on the pitch together is likely to look like we’re playing with 9 men instead of 11.

    Don’t get me wrong, I would like to see Martial etc up-front. But Lingard gets a lot of hate here when Martial isn’t exactly prime Giggs himself.

    That being said Barca will score at least 2 so we need a plan to get at least 3 goals in.

    I would throw Lingard into the mix tonight as his movement could trouble Barca’s defense.
     
    Reckon we will lose 4-0 minimum tonight.

    We are awful and we should only focus on Everton this weekend.

    First 20 mins will be horrible to watch!

    Don't rate him but I agree, pressing is the only way we'll get chances.

    Unfortunately for us, Lingard will force an error and most likely bottle the shot or pass.
     
    What are the odds on a Smalling red card? Can see the ref this time out wanting to make amends for last week.

    No chance. We will probably lose but you are being overly pessimistic if you really think it’s that likely we’ll get smashed.

    They're both out of form to be fair. The trouble is we have little in the way of alternatives, viable ones anyway.

    I'd go with 'Martial Lukaku Rashford' as our forward line. Leaving Lingard on the bench to act as an impact sub in case of emergency.

    Rashford on the wings is a no-no for me. He is terrible on the left and almost a liability on the right. CF or bust for him.

    I agree, but who would you start ahead of him on the right flank?

    Mata, Lingard and Sanchez are the alternatives and none of them looks up to scratch. It's a crime that the right-wing position has gone untended for so long now.

    It will be difficult tbh. Even with our first XI it would have been impossible when you saw how much PSG were better than us. We didn’t tested Buffon, Thiago Silva and Kimpembe were cool, when Marquinhos and Verrati controlled everything.

    We missed our chance in the first game and now we just have to pray to not concede 4/5 goals (Imagine that Southampton scored 2… just look at what Snakeman and Mbappe can do….)
