I don't see how this is relevant to this game.

With one major difference, the return leg was in Italy but you do make a good general point, it's been a while since they've been in the semis for them so they're taking all the precautions they can

I didn't say it is relevant. I said that you can't know what can happen in football and gave yesterday's PSG game as an example.

PSG is a perfect example of how we can win against the odds.....

all we need is for an awful backpass to get us on our way, Ter Stegen to drop one like Buffon and a late VAR penalty with a dubious handball

or we will have to play out of our skins

Or Juventus away. Fairly even game for 25 mins, then totally out-played for the next 60 mins, Ronaldo's brilliant volley giving them the lead. Mata scores a lovely free-kick after 86 mins, a dangerous free-kick from a wide position leads to an own goal in injury time, that wins the match. Key players for us were Fellaini and Mata, both came on after 79 mins.

Problem for us in the first leg was the near total lack of quality in the final third. Woeful crosses, inability to control the ball, shots that missed the target by some distance.

    true forgot about Juve

think the key thing is going to be to restrict them to one goal max if we can't keep a clean sheet. Really hard to see us score 3 again without some freak occurrences, defensive disasters or a bit of magic

Same as in the 1st leg against PSG.

Going out. Barca are not PSG. We fecked it at Old Trafford. Again.

If I was Ole I would just tell the players to go out, enjoy and express themselves.

Don’t worry about losing, the pressure is off. That doesn’t mean slack off, we still need 110% dedication and commitment, it’s just so they can go in with a clear head and positive mindset.

I feel the same way about this one as I did against PSG. Certain we're going out but just hope we make a good go of it.

I'm extremely doubtful lightning will strike twice but it's been a pleasure to get to this stage of the season and still be in the Champions League for once. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

Darmian hasn't played a game in months - and you'd start him in the Nou Camp?

Also, we will need some sort of attacking threat going forward from our full backs you'd think...

He's a fit lad, and if there was an injury crisis he'd have to play anyway, what's the difference, and I did say i'd be tempted to play him, not would.

He's rarely shown it at United granted but he is still the best attacking fullback we've got at the club with first-team experience and it's not as though Young, Shaw, Valencia or Dalot have pulled up any trees going forward recently....

We're going out sadly but hope to see a good performance rather than them smashing us.

Anything other than a 4-0/5-0 win for Barcelona will be very surprising for me.

I'd start Sanchez. A lamp has more creativity than anyone else in our front 3 right now anyway.

2-0 to Barca. Hopefully, they switch to a lower gear and just see this out. Dang, this is such a mismatch.

Got a feeling at some point in the game we'll be a goal away from qualifying so either 1-0 early or 1-1 at some point. Expect them to get through in the end with a 2-1 or 3-1 win on the day unfortunately. I just hope if we do go out we aren't robbed somehow.

    Is he likely to start?

You have forgotten the PSG game already? I know Barca are better but with a bit of luck we can do it.

I agree. We have to believe. I like a punt and 888 have a 50/1 offer on us so my Mum (sorry, I) will be backing that! You get your winnings in free bets but even so!

Desperate at 1-1 in stoppage time, Young whips a beaut into substitute Sanchez who rips his shirt off Hulk Hogan style after rattling the back of the net and promptly does his achilles, never to play for United again. Young, in a warrior’s tribute, vows to never kick another football. It’s a sad and painful loss for Manchester United fans but a story of leaders and legends which will live long in the memory.
