    I don't blame the players, the tactics are simply not there. Yes, the United squad is poor this season but they're good enough to at least get a few goals against the likes of Astana and Rochdale. Same shite play again tonight.

    I don’t disagree that we are absolutely awful at the moment but you can’t compare this team to the one Moyes had. A huge gulf in quality and experience.
     
    Man, we struggle even against a club of the size of Alkmaar.
     
    Everyone is slagging of our midfield, cos it's easy to do and it is justified... But The movement our front 3 has been shocking.

    There's literally nothing going on... Gomes looks lost, Greenwoods touch has been dreadful and his runs aren't up to much, and James hasn't been in the game at all

    Fred has been the worst player on the pitch by far, but let's not pretend that it's just the midfield struggling out there. The only thing we've done remotely well in this half is keep possession (at times)

    None of our players move in the final third. They just fecking stand there and stare at the guy in possession. it's ridiculous.
     
    It doesn't matter what players we have on the pitch it's the same outcome this season and the last 3 or 4 months under Ole last season as well.

    it's sad that whilst Chelsea do look leaky at the back, they at least they don't look like they struggle on the ball in attack under Lampard. what does that say when Lampard looks a far more competent manager than Ole already which is no surprise considering Ole couldn't even cope in the championship and Cardiff would have probably got relegated from that league as well had he stayed on.
     
    shit half, but it's still one of those games where I'm not really concerned about result. despite the fact we're not creating much, I'm still 100% sure we'll score before them. they look naive and reckless at the back and Rashford alone should be enough to punish them. think it's going to end 1-1 or 0-1. I'd be surprised if we're ever in danger of losing to these guys.
     
    Why does the CAF over-hype our kids ?
    Its doesn't do you or them any favours.
    Also,remember these kids are playing against players in a similar age group. Only natural they'll look out of place against experienced professionals.
     
    I don't even blame solskjaer as the rot has been facilitated for years, but our football this season, in my opinion, has been the most consistently rubbish since fergie left. The lows may have been lower but under the other 3 there were at least cohesive games now and then other than at the end for moyes and mourinho.

    We are an absolutely appalling side.

    Seriously that's the deal, Romero for Cara and EL cups and de gea for FA and PL games. Jeez ole is making me doubt him even more every week with his selection. They scream, that he's afraid to take a risk at this point. Like putting pogba in the last match for no reason

    How do our u23s stand ins look better than our senior players in Matic, Fred and Mata. I know this is astro turf but jesus christ, they do know they need to control the ball right? Brandon Williams and Dalot look the most comfortable on the ball tonight so far.

    Starting? I haven’t seen anything from him since day one in fact I tend to do forget he is part of the club when he isn’t on the pitch.

    We're not playing well, that's for sure. We've created more clear-cut chances than them in spite of that though.

    The players are clearly struggling to adapt to a frankly awful pitch, too.

    Fred just cannot be trusted. There's a reason he never plays despite what some keep saying and it's because he gives the fecking ball away half the time he has it.
     
    Watching us while the AZ defenders have the ball, our players do not have a single clue about what they are supposed to be doing.

    We're so often let down by basic things like pass selection, first touch, off the ball positioning etc it's incredibly annoying and not something that should be such a problem at this level, it really is amateurish at times.
     
    Neither the manager nor the players are very good, which you'd have to say is a pretty bad combination overall.

    There won't be any easy games this season.

    This was the most appealing trip to be honest. And no they don’t , unless a club tries to charge extortionate prices (CL last season) we charge the same to that team when they visit OT and supporters traveling away are subsidized by Utd.

    So what ? We played Romero the entire EL campaign we actually won.

    Not to mention this is the second match in group stage and we won the first game.

    You can only blame lack of players to a certain point. Good manager can make his team play cohesively no matter what players.
     
    I've just switched on the BT app as been out.

    Their timeline has 3 shots on it, ours is completely blank- have we really done that little?! I was hoping the timeline may be broken...
     
    I miss Carlos Queiroz. We stopped knowing how to play from the moment he left. Simple.

    It has been that bad.. Greenwood had a shot a goal though but Vlaar got in the way so i dont think it counted as a shot?
