    Sigh. Martial has been training for 2 weeks now yet he's still not deemed fit enough to play? Also slight knock on Antony and a small illness to Sancho have them missing several games.

    Yea, unfortunately we have too many forwards injured currently so Ronaldo gets to start again. We really, really need a new striker in Jan. This injury situation with Martial is beyond ridiculous now.
     
    Performances probably won't be very pretty but we should still be able to win this game even with Ronaldo stinking up the place.

    We've been poor in the past couple of games but managed to get the wins. We're due a loss and then we'll see an exceptional performance in the next one. Story of our club for the past 8 seasons.

    We aren’t due a loss at all. Haven’t deserved one since City
     
    Is he gonnna move Eriksen to CAM and play Fred-Casemiro as double pivot or will Donny start again?
     
    Quite simply we never play well with Ronaldo starting so I'm expecting another poor performance here. Hopefully we can snatch another ugly win. Just gotta keep getting the points on the board any way we can
     
    We haven't played well in any game Ronaldo has started this season.
     
    Chelsea and / or Arsenal have to drop points today. Very strong chance Spurs do too.

    A win today in that scenario puts us very close to third with a game in hand and only six off top.

    Post-Fergie it seems we always, always feck up these game weeks - if we get the 3 points today I’ll be even more convinced we’re finally turning a corner.

    Not confident at all with that front line, no Bruno and Eriksen in poor form though.
     
    I don't think Ronaldo will start. 3 straight 90mins can't be in the book for ETH. I think ETH knows Anthony will be fit this weekend. I am going with:

    DeGea.
    Dalot Lindelof Martinez Shaw.

    I think ETH knows Maguire does not fit if we want to play high. So Lindelof starts.

    Casamiro, Eriksen, Fred.

    Fred will replace Bruno in that No 10 role. He will press when they have the ball and dot back when we have the ball. I don't think Donny did enough to make a claim for that NO 10 spot

    Anthony Rashford Garnacho.

    I believe Anthony is fit for this one.Rashford will play through the middle that was why he came off the bench in Spain. Garnacho deserve a run in after his goal in Spain.

    Aston villa is a tough one, they really came at us during pre season and the management bounce effect may play but we know what is as stake. We need to get into that top 4 mix now.
     
    Didn't realise we weren't on tv today...

    In any case, every single game is important, so I'm hoping we can get some goals from somewhere......

    What’s the chances of a controlled 0-2 win? Would be nice to see, but no doubt Coutinho will look like a £140M player again against us!

    It’s not the starting front 3 I’m that worried about, it’s the fact we have no options from the bench should things be going against us.

    We saw in midweek what ETH ended up trying due to us having no clear options, I don’t want to have to watch us try hoof ball with Maguire up too today.

    Rumours about that Garnacho and Donny starting again today.

    I know Ten Hag loves Donny. I reckon by the end of the season he will have implemented him in that number 10 role in front of Bruno.
