    Odd game this, Arsenal look wide open to the break, massive space in front of their back 4 to exploit, game is silly stretched, you would think the pitch is 150% normal size.

    Aubameyang finds space in our box again and Shaw has to block the cross for a corner to Arsenal.

    Parking the bus? Intensity might have gone down slightly, but how on earth are we parking the bus?
     
    Frustrating end to the half. We had been so solid and had given nothing away. Started the game reasonably enough and were really on top for a period of 20 minutes, with a wicked uncoverted cross and two well worked and finished chances.

    Arsenal are really strong in second halves this season, so there’s still a long way to go before any sign of victory.
     
    Ok, the one good thing with these last five minutes is that Ole has to take out the hair-dryer in half-time.

    Xhaka sends the corner in and Herrera heads away. The ball comes back into the box again and Aubameyang nearly picks out Koscielny in front of goal but Young makes a last ditch clearance. Phew.

    2:1 to us at half-time and it's been a decent ol' cup tie so far, albeit in a noticeably muted atmosphere. Must be because it's a Friday!

    Two quick fire counter attacking goals midway through the half sent us into a 2:0 lead, first from Sanchez and then two minutes later from Lingard. Manchester United counter attacking football at its best.

    Arsenal pushed hard for a way back into the game and found it through Aubameyang just before half-time.

    Both teams have had good and bad spells. It's a lot like the league game at Old Trafford between these two sides that ended 2:2, which was both enjoyable and infuriating.

    It's times likes these we need someone to command the defence and calm it down.
